Toby Stockman 89 #1 Posted July 20, 2024 there is a ber-vac snowblower in my area and looking to add it to my collection its on a 520-h right now wondering if it would fit a 312-8 without any modification and will the engine have enough power to run it. Why are these snowblowers so hard to find? Thanks!
wallfish 18,072 #2 Posted July 20, 2024 Yes, it'll fit right to the 312. It's my opinion the more HP the better when it comes to snow blowers. Yes it will work on and throw a good amount of snow with a 12 hp. But, performance suffers compared to the bigger 20 hp.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,451 #3 Posted July 20, 2024 Does it have the weight kit for the rear?
wallfish 18,072 #4 Posted July 20, 2024 The other thing to consider is that blower is on a hydraulic lift tractor. (520-H) Manual lift on a 312-8, so keep that in mind if youn plan to use it. The Ber-vac blower isn't quite as heavy as the Toro 44" 2 stage, but it's still heavy lifting.
Toby Stockman 89 #5 Posted July 20, 2024 no it does not have the weight kit it cant be too much worse than lifting the 36" rear tiller thats pretty heavy Thanks for the info!
