wingrider 21 #1 Posted September 3, 2009 I bought a C160 Auto a while back and the lift cylinder leaks, had time tonite to look it over and I think the hoses are leaking at the fittings, but they are tight. I was wondering if these are the orginal hoses was there a problem with them leaking or is this just the way they are. Tonite while reading the message board I saw a pictue of another C160 Auto that looked to have new hoses on it and they looked to have a different type of end on them. Any ideas anyone? Red Iron 1 #3 Posted September 4, 2009 I would wipe it all clean at suspicious areas of leakage and see where it actually drips from. I've seen fittings get cracked without damaging the hoses. Hoses do "dry-rot" and may weep oil thru layers of rubber. Hoses have least 3 layers of rubber with wire braid between the layers. If the hose feels really stiff, chances are it is getting brittle and could crack. If the fittings appear tight, but are they straight or
nylyon-(Admin) 7,880 #4 Posted September 4, 2009 Not sure who's C-160 you saw, but if it was Eldon's it had new hoses, infact he is selling replacements on his web site. Check this post in the vendor section for his link. You can try to remove the hose and check / replace the o-ring to see if that helps the problem. edit: This is the hoses on mine, pretty much the OEM type if this is what you have?
