KyBlue 655 #1 Posted June 9, 2024 (edited) Greeting & Salutations! : I've got a 36" tiller and I have two questions: Does anybody have a photo of a set of tines that aren't worn out? I'm not above replacing the tines (judging by the price they're made from unobtainium) but If I can reshape what I have with some hard facing rod and get them back to digging correctly I will. Second question is does anybody have pictures of the rear flap and how it attaches. I can replicate one (for far less than the 150.00 Toro wants for a new one) but I'm at a loss as to how it hinges to the main tiller body. there isn't a normal hinge and I really don't want to drill holes to mount one. Thanks for your time! Edited June 9, 2024 by KyBlue Adding photo
lynnmor 7,788 #2 Posted June 10, 2024 (edited) Here is a thread showing a tine kit that I believe is no longer available but the photos should help you. From your blurry photo it appears that your tines are beyond hope. The flap is held in place by metal straps welded to it then are inserted in the three slots and bent over. You can see a bit of it in the above link. Many images can be found doing a search, pay particular attention to the Craigslist link. Thanks for the help, I've searched and searched looking for images of the factory tines. The ones you linked to obviously aren't factory, however I did email the original poster and inquire about their retrofit setup. I'd still like to see images of factory new tines. Looking at the drawings they're shaped different than the set you linked to.

You can do your own search in Google for wheel horse 36 tines and then use the images tab, it will result in the same thing in my search mentioned above.
