518-H gas shutoff

I'd like to clean the shutoff valve but am unsure how to get it off the tank.  Can anyone help?  Thanks.

Here's what it looks like off the tank. Once it's removed, it's best to replace the grommet because it will most likely leak. Order a whole new valve and grommet and be done with it IMO.

It would be a good time to pull the tank and flush it.  While the tank is off, clean everything so the transmission cools properly and to stop the rust.
