Horse Fanatic 51 #1 Posted August 29, 2009 I just picked up a non-running Raider 14 with a complete rototiller set up. It had an electric-hydraulic lift. I would like to use this tiller on my 300 or 400 series tractors. Is that possible with the correct mounting brackets and PTO set up or is this earlier tiller a different design? Thanks, Glenn
wheel horse 1045 2 #2 Posted August 30, 2009 it still should work,if you can show some pictures of what you got to work with
bitten 134 #3 Posted August 30, 2009 I think it will work. That is a nice thing about Wheel Horse is that the attachments are farly interchangable, unlike the green ones that require you to buy all for differant models.
whfan74 2,071 #4 Posted August 30, 2009 I was just curious about this as well. I have to earlier rototillers and was wanting to attach it to my 312-8. I was told that there would have to be some modification to make it work and line up for my needs. My tiller model numbers are 7-1211 and I am assuming yours will be the same. Rollerman 290 #5 Posted August 30, 2009 I'll have to get some pics around of a tiller I picked up from Jim M last year. It's been modified from the earlier twin belt setup to the later single drive belt. It was used on my 85 416 last spring untill the belt broke. Fair warning though...it's pretty ugly, but should give you an idea of how to make one work. :scratchead:
Horse Fanatic 51 #6 Posted August 30, 2009 Mine is a 7-1211 as well. I looked at the drawings of the later ones and I see much is different. The dual belt set up for starters, also the later ones look like they lift from the top. I might be better off selling this one and locating the correct one. I would like to see the picture of the one with the modified belt set up if you have it. Thanks, Glenn
