Only if the valve body itself or the sliding valve is scored will complete replacement be necessary. Note that on Eaton-equipped tractors, the control valve also has an internal pressure relief valve with its adjustor covered by an external acorn nut. Best to resist temptation and just leave this alone unless you have a known problem that calls for adjusting it and the equipment to properly test it. They are sensitive to adjust and if done "by guess and by gosh” can easily cause more problems. My experience showed me that very small turning of the screw moved the relief pressure a lot.
