D 160 Kohler 16 hp Stater

Recommended Posts

Hello , when I took off this stater the black two wires were pressed in between the two posts and then ran back through the plate like shown in picture one but seems like it would make more sense to just run it straight back through the plate like picture two rather then rap it around the post and then back. So question is does it matter. I see that two of the posts don’t have wires rapped around them and would be on opposite sides. This is on a D 160 Kohler 16 hp. Thanks

Being that it is an AC system, I do not believe that it would matter.

Can the one on the left be turned around to match the right one?

I agree. It doesn’t matter if you input AC or CA--it’ll come out DC from the regulator!  :hide:
