Vinnie 7 #1 Posted April 16, 2024 Good afternoon. I live in Malvern, PA which is near West Chester, PA. I have Wheelhorse tractor 416-8 with an P-216 Onan. I would like to replace all the gaskets and decarbonize the cyclinder. Does anyone on this site do repairs or know a good mechanic in my area? Thanks for you help. lynnmor 7,672 #2 Posted April 16, 2024 I can't help with your local area, there is a guy from Malvern that regularly advertises Wheel Horse parts on Craigslist, perhaps if you contact him some help can be had. What I don't understand is the need to replace all gaskets, that is a major engine tear-down, please explain. Removing the heads for carbon removal is removing some minor tins and just 9 bolts on each head, then you will need new head gaskets. Use a plastic scraper to remove the carbon.
