Unfortunately, mine is beyond patching over the crack. The fissures are full depth of the foam.

I did separate the cushion from the pan and am formulating a plan to make a new seat from scratch.

In my second thread I mentioned how I repaired the foam with some seat foam from an old couch. Used rubber cement to glue the piece in place and then shaped it as best I could with the tools I have. I do not have a wire cutter that would have done a better job, Once covered this is not seen or felt while sitting on it.

Update!

I found a local shop and I provided a nice maroon, marine grade  upholstery. I cleaned and painted the pan and I really like how it turned out. For $100. 😁😁

What was the total cost including cleaners, primer, paint, other shop supplies like sandpaper, foam, the marine grade upholstery,  etc?

I cleaned and painted the pan myself. And even supplied the material. $100 for the shops time. The vinyl was leftover from previous project.

Quite a bargain. You did very well.

Even figuring a total purchase of all new pieces and supplies I doubt you'd hit $75.

Less than $200.

I've asked a couple upholstery shops and was quoted $300 - $450.

Could you expand on how you shaped the foam?

Thanks. I had another shop here in town quoted me that high too. But they were thinking all new foam.

The owner of the shop that did this is an old (er) school biker, been doing it since Noah needed a seat. 😁 He peeled the old material off and saved the foam.
