I did separate the cushion from the pan and am formulating a plan to make a new seat from scratch. In my second thread I mentioned how I repaired the foam with some seat foam from an old couch. Used rubber cement to glue the piece in place and then shaped it as best I could with the tools I have. I do not have a wire cutter that would have done a better job, Once covered this is not seen or felt while sitting on it.
Joe BenHayon 28 #27 Posted 11 hours ago Update! I found a local shop and I provided a nice maroon, marine grade upholstery. I cleaned and painted the pan and I really like how it turned out. For $100. 😁😁 2

What was the total cost including cleaners, primer, paint, other shop supplies like sandpaper, foam, the marine grade upholstery, etc?

I cleaned and painted the pan myself. And even supplied the material. $100 for the shops time. The vinyl was leftover from previous project.

I've asked a couple upholstery shops and was quoted $300 - $450.

The owner of the shop that did this is an old (er) school biker, been doing it since Noah needed a seat. 😁 He peeled the old material off and saved the foam.
