Easton Rich 621 #1 Posted January 21, 2024 I’m looking at a get 2500 anniversary edition. The guy has no info no year but it is a square hood. Looks to be pretty decent for original. Come w. deck any downfalls on these?

Sparky-(Admin) 23,122 #3 Posted January 21, 2024 It’s a 1981 and was an anniversary model. Really the only cool factor was silver decals. Otherwise it was made with leftover hoods/fenders etc from the older style WH’s. In 81 the current WH’s were the Black Hoods. WH also used an 11HP Briggs and Stratton power plant. Easton Rich 621 #5 Posted January 21, 2024 One last thing, is that Briggs a good motor for a pulling tractor.

I don’t know the specs on it, but I’m fairly certain it has less torque than the Kohler 10 or 12. Another thing to consider if it’s going to be a puller is that the GT-2500 has the smaller 1” axles and the 10 pinion rear, which is not the preferred rear end by the pulling crowd. Easton Rich 621 #7 Posted January 21, 2024 Are they keyed?
Sparky-(Admin) 23,122 #8 Posted January 21, 2024 There is a keyway on the axle and hub if that’s what you’re asking.
