peter lena 9,694 #6 Posted December 26, 2023 @Tonytoro416 @TractorEd 1/2 x 20 fine threaded rod , have the plow end connection finished INSIDE THE quadrant area , elastic nut . minimizing ground contact . build that up on milk crates , so you can roller stool around it , and VERIFY EASY FUNCTION . crate under rear of frame , front end just behind quadrant area , what ever you build in , will be exactly the same on tractor . suspended total access frame , is what you want , for detail function . thats key for improvement , NOT STANDING ON YOUR HEAD , regularly look over ENTIRE MOVEMENT AREA , OF ANY ISSUE . WHERE DOES IT HANG UP ? WHAT HAS TO CHANGE ? washers? lube ? eliminate sloppy play , that angle squeeze lever , was sloppy , detail in the quadrant spring / hole area , red aerosol grease , moves with total ease , slide pin , like a rifle bolt . roller stooling around it , lets you , find all the faults , eliminate them . also use a lubricant on the front of plow blade for snow slide , stop rust , this is just enough , to have people say , you , cant do that , Pete
peter lena 9,694 #7 Posted December 10, 2024 @dmoore often refer to FUNCTIONAL DETAILING , on linkage / lever set ups , first photo shows plow lever squeeze triangle , improvement , partial threaded bolt , so unthreaded smooth spot , is now swing / movement / lubricated spot , held in exact , smoth , secure stop with elastic lock nut , dial it in ! also notice 1/2 " threaded heim joint, on plow blade swing arm , another one , on the bottom of the plow quadrant , push / pill point , maks for very solid / smooth quadrant direction . like red aerosol grease , especially at quadrat , compression spring / slide point . sounds / works like a rifle bolt . used small channel locks , to tighten up pull wire , movement spot , lubricate as you go , top squeeze lever , should have ZERO PLAY in its movement function , that and lube improvement function ,at every related movement point , makes for an amazing difference , in blade swing . lots of years on this , detail in every MOVEMENT stage , try , test, try , add a oil slick front of blade , for snow slide , free HP ! my plows move with total ease , with simple detailing , every bolt swing point , is lubed and nylock nutted to hold perfect resistance setting, pete

peter lena 9,694 #9 Posted 6 hours ago @CD Long Jr this plow hardware referral is a base line for any plow set up , literally transforms , total function , basically insuring solid / smooth movement . did at each stage , been in use for years , sorry about any mix up I might have caused . typically doing a test function , run , thats where you find the problems , like a roller stool , so I can scoot around , and try , test try . do a lot of that , start out with a train wreck , end up with a vault door , solid . smooth . easy . looking at your set up is exactly what I started with , also added threaded push / pull rods , heim joints , move assurance is guaranteed. help you if I can , pete
peter lena 9,694 #10 Posted 3 hours ago @CD Long Jr as I gained on function , kept enhancing fit , the squeeze lever , was originally sloppy , had some no movement " play " in it , tightened up the wire hole curve points , small channel locks , also lubed as i went , just that play elimination ,INCREASED the pull on the swing quadrant slide pin spring , mine sounds like a rifle bolt , went after every/ movement spot / enhanced it , there is no / zero play in the squeeze lever start point . when you come right down to it , the spring on the quadrant slide pin , runs the entire unit , combine that with aerosol red spray grease , it cooks . the instant you start to squeeze the swing lever , the slightest pull / push on the handle , swings the plow . adding 1/2" threaded rod to heim joints , also eliminated the sloppy open hole set up , this set up has been bomb proof for years ,also have a graphite finish on blade face , snow slide off is effortless . like a roller stool on build up , 2 milk crates , 1 rear cross bar , 1 front just before quadrant area , that will let you VERIFY WHAT YOU ARE DOING , tightened up squeeze lever rod round connection points , zero play , just function , what you build , set up , will be exactly the same on the tractor , that was the milk crate idea . took same basic thought for other repetitive issues . break it down , and kill it , paint it red / black , you would never know , like pulley bearings / frayed belts . pete

I assume you cut and threaded the rods to fit? BUT, you should be ashamed, you pushed the 312-8 back for awhile. I was about to order parts.
