NewHorse 0 #1 Posted August 21, 2009 I just got a 1972 702 WH and it runs great but.....When I push the brake in to put her in gear the drive belt will not stop. I even got a belt off another 702 WH that was working perfect and put it on mine and still the belt keeps turning the axle pulley just enuff that it wont let me put it into gear. I adjusted the tensioners pulley to loosen it up and it still spins the axle pulley...if i loosen it any more the belt falls off!! Ahhhh! Any ideas please???????? :thumbs2:
sorekiwi 761 #2 Posted August 21, 2009 Is the belt cover on? The cover ensures that the slack in the belt is at the engine end so that the belt stops driving the transmission. They dont work at all wihout the cover on!
