Thanks for the response. I'll go pick it up. Will it require any modifications?

Are those "gator blades" worth putting on the deck?

I've never used gator blades so cant help ya there. The deck should go on with no mods. Does it come with the mule drive? If not you'll need one and a belt for it as well.

I have the mule drive from Dad's rear discharge deck. The belts on the side discharge will all need replaced according to the owner. Can I get those at the auto parts store if the Toro dealer's priced scare me?

JMHO, but if you can get the right Gator blades to fit that deck, you'll never go back to regular blades. I've got 'em on three tractors (one WH and two "green" tractors  and couldn't be happier! Not only do they provide a superior cut, they are everything advertised when it comes to mulching, especially in the fall when the leaves start coming off. They also seem to hold an edge better than anything else I've used, OEM or otherwise.

Duff :thumbs2:

I second what Duff said about the Gator blades.

You can get Napa or Gates belts at the auto parts store. There is a belt conversion tool in the pinned links section on the Wheel Horse tactor page. I've been using the gates belts for years with no problems.

Good to know about the Gator blades. I'll look for the belt reference here.
