AlexR 2,273 #177 Posted June 9 Does anyone have the measurements on the BKT TR-315 23x10.5-12 mounted on 8-8.5" wide rims?
HyperPete 886 #178 Posted June 9 I have the AGs, but I'll be South of Cancun until Saturday night, so I can't get measurements until then. Here are some photos of them along with Carlisle turfs from January, before mounting.. 1

AlexR 2,273 #180 Posted June 9 Yeah I just wanted measurements to compare them to the deestones. It seems like they are in-between the true measurement the tru-powers are and the small size the deestones are. @HyperPete yeah I don't need the measurements right now but when you get a chance it would be great to have them for this thread. I wrote up a post back at number 77 about those. They're definitely a site bigger than the itty bitty Deestones.

They measure 21 3/4" x 9 1/2" as setting. They'll definitely grow some with the rated 20 lbs air pressure. 4 ply. These are available online for anywhere from $90 to $120 each all year. I paid $80 each on a sale. November 2024. I believe these will be excellent for our particular usage. I like a slightly heavier duty tire than most. These have a good aggressive sharp square edged full width bar 45⁰ ish AG tread which should self clean nicely and also retain decent ride quality for those who like a smoother tire. My usage is on mid 70s C Series. Stock size was 8.5 wide. The added couple inches MAY cause clearance issues with Automatics. Spacers solve that. @AlexR

RED-Z06 2,681 #187 Posted August 24 Mowed 3acres of foot high wet grass yesterday, these tires self clean extremely well. The old turfs would accumulate a thick belt of cut grass, these tires did pickup grass but accelating briefly it threw it off. Great tires 1
RED-Z06 2,681 #188 Posted September 4 These are 26x12x12 Hercules 8ply Traction Masters, the absolute hardest tires ive ever mounted in my life, if not for having the front loader to force the rims into the tires, then to push the tire down below the bead, there's no way i could have done it. Inflated height us 26", width is 11.5",

Ive always been a little disappointed with the offerings in 23x10.50-12, plenty of turf tires, lots of chinese ags, but limited on unique tread designs
Lane Ranger 11,644 #193 Posted September 5 I am looking for one good used Goodyear tire like the one in photos. I would like to save this one but it has a lot of cracks after 67 years of use! First pick is of the one i saved from ghe pair! Miller tire paint can only do so much with an old tire! Let me know if you have one to sell with or wothout wheel! !

Do you use the tractor as a mower? A higher front can throw the level off the deck.
kpinnc 15,931 #196 Posted October 16 8 hours ago, ebinmaine said: Do you use the tractor as a mower? A higher front can throw the level off the deck. It will lower the deck efficiency by quite a bit. The deck should be slightly lower in the front to provide relief for the rest of the cutting blade "disc". Raising the front will cause the blades to have to cut all the way around. This requires much more torque, and drags down blade and engine RPM. You can adjust the deck somewhat but raising the nose by an inch is alot. You're better off adding taller tires all the way around if you plan to mow with the 520. My 523-H has 18 inch front tires but 25 inch rears to maintain level. Just something to think about.

It's that dry it is now, the picture was from last spring.
Lee1977 7,418 #198 Posted October 18 (edited) This 312-8 has the Deestones 400x8 on the 6" spindles with 25x900x12 Carlisles Alltrail II on 7" wide rims. They were designed for side by sides. I like the looks better on tires with a flatter tread, but these rounded tread tire have worked good on everything. They are 24" tall and 8" wide typical under size I have used them for about 10 years. I think they measured 25" tall when I got them could be the air pressure or that pulverizer hanging 32" from the transmission . .
