Kirby216 7 #1 Posted September 17, 2023 Can one install a brinly or clevis style hitch on a t606 I have the slot style on there now but find attachments for the older style are rare. Will any WH brinly work or does it have to be from a specific year?
rjg854 12,184 #2 Posted September 17, 2023 I'm not familiar with a 606, but I'm sure someone will be along that can answer that.
squonk 43,804 #3 Posted September 17, 2023 If you can get the pin out of the slot hitch and trans you can replace it with this
Pullstart 66,711 #4 Posted September 17, 2023 You might be able to find something like this to fit in your slot hitch too.
Kirby216 7 #5 Posted September 17, 2023 Is the modified bracket stronger than a a true brinly or just an easier way to adapt to newer attachments?

The adapter tends to hang the attachment out farther creating extra load on the hitch and lift system

IMHO, the slot adaptor combo is arguably weaker but not by much, really. It extends out about the same distance from the tractor but positions the sleeve a bit higher (1-2”?) when it’s level to the ground. I am running a slot hitch and drawbar on my 854 and picked up an adaptor so I can use either type of implement. I am not planning high-stress work like soil plowing or “pulling”. Ultimately, for you it’ll depend a lot on what implements you have or are buying.
