Floorboard Rubber Treads

Recommended Posts

Anybody know if anybody is currently selling the rubber floorboard treads? Mid 80’ style to mid 90’s type with the adhesive backing. Or, where to buy the material so i can cut them myself if nobody is cutting them. Thanks!

I use the skate board tread tape. Adhesive backed and easily cut. Any sports shop should stock it.

Harbor Fright sells a heavy 12" x 12" diamond tread self stick rubber pad - about $5. I did the ones on the C81 - cut the piece with a tablesaw.

Heat the underside of the metal with a heat gun - make removing the old ones easy....:thumbs2: Install with the sawcut edge facing in...

Search for rubber-cal fine rib mat, maybe you can find a self adhesive type or a spray adhesive that will work.

The rubber pads make a great place for rust, I took them off my 520 and sanded and repaired the rusted areas then tossed them in the trash.

Yes, the Rubber Pads they were not in great shape. I have some rubber pad similar to the HF pads, but I  won't put it on a tractor.

This is my fave as well. Easily trimmed and full-face adhesive prevents water from entering underneath.

I used double-sided carpet tape called Rhino tape.
