Mooseposse 0 #1 Posted August 7, 2023 Hello everyone! I have been on the hunt for information regarding maintenance and belts ect. I tried finding the correct manuals in the resource section but I was only able to find a wiring manual I think for my tractor. I was previously looking for information regarding the mower deck to replace the spindle but after looking it over more and considering options, I found another deck for it. For those keeping score at home, my buddy with the pulleys didn't have anything it turned out... Anyway! Since this tractor is new to me, I plan to do a service on it. And I would like to find the books for this and the mower deck ect. The big thing I need right now if you were able to help is what belt I need from the engine to the deck and from the center pulley to the other two. From what I have been able to see searching around on here there may be two different sizes but I am not sure how to tell which applies. They guy I bought it from had the pulley on one side crap out and shredded the belt so I don't have any information on what it was. I have it but no markings on what's left. Here is the information I do have however. 1978 C-101 With a Kohler K241AS The new deck is a 42" like it had with greaseable spindles, round shaft if it is exactly the same as mine. I will look for a model number on it when I get it. But if there is a transition between belt sizes dependent on model number, would someone know that? I am picking up the deck tomorrow so hopefully I will be back up and running when I get home so I can mow my yard too! Been looking forward to using this tractor for a week now. Thank you!
