5151 11 #1 Posted July 31, 2023 How do I access the area below the battery? I really do not want to water blast there. Remove plate directly under bat tray?
JCM 10,244 #2 Posted July 31, 2023 Should be able to remove 2 screws on the key switch panel and carefully pull the panel forward a bit. Or between the frame rails from up underneath.
Lee1977 7,216 #3 Posted August 1, 2023 The way the 300 series is wired it only come out two or three inches before the wires start to pull off the switch. Don't think you can do much cleaning removing that panel.
5151 11 #4 Posted August 21, 2023 (edited) Did best I could by removing dash and the panel where the starter solenoid mounts. There may be an easier way that I have not yet found. While in there, the pin for the deck lift trunnion was gone. That would have been a problem. This same procedure is "probably" how I will try to adjust deck transport height. Trouble there is the hydros will leak down by the time I get it together. Wrench faster. The reason for this was a cracked battery, acid spill, plastic battery tray is cracked also and leaked. And I did pressure wash, blow, wd40 and more compressed air. Edited August 21, 2023 by 5151
