Gary S Minnesota 58 #1 Posted June 27, 2023 Hi All, I have a 1999 314-8 with the ‘band type “ safety switch bedded in the foam cushion just above the seat pan. The seat upholstery is shot. I suppose I could try to install a new seat cover but am thinking a new seat from TSC etc may be much simpler. The question then is , how can I still retain the safety switch protection? I do have an extra “push button” and plunger style switch like on my 312 -8 that I’ve considered adapting to a new seat. Oh BTW, the 314 also has the “ reverse key” safety switch key feature I’d like to retain? It appears the reverse key switch is just bolted to the side of the seat pan and is probably independent of the seat switch? Anyone dealt with this issue when replacing the WH seat?
