Docwheelhorse 2,560 #1 Posted June 25, 2023 (edited) Hello all, Miss the show already... wish it was like a week long!! Lol Anyways... I sold this tractor with ~300 odd hours 5 or 6 years back. It quit 2 or 3 years back and was left in field where it died. Friend said "no spark..." can I fix. I reluctantly agreed to and dreaded it... but today I took all apart, gave it a bath and started taking all 500 screws and bolts out to get to ignition module. Clean cylinder barrels and so on... With tip from @Sparky I downloaded manual from here on RS and started following ignition troubleshooting step by step. Found issue, tested for spark... got exact results that Onan says is good to go and BOOM.... fire in pipes! Going back together now and then a long run to make sure it's not heat related. However, it had no compression in the front cylinder and when the head was pulled the valve was spinning on the seat. Likely a broken exhaust spring. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
