I'm looking for the location of the regulator.  I have wet macular degeneration and its hard to search through all the topics and read them, My searches were fruitletss. I love this mower, i have 4 others, 2 diseal . Is it in the engine? any help would be appreciated. thank you

crusty@ columbusrr.com.often its the rectifier grounding isssue that is related . might try a battery ground bolt point , to rectifier mount bolt , aligator clip wire . the ground gets lost in crossing  connection . mount areas .  could also be corrosion or rectifier  failure . pete

Regulator is item 39 on this page.

It will be mounted outside the flywheel so it is in the path of the air coming off the fan for maximum cooling.

Check the  metal cover over the flywheel - all around it.
