Hi Guys, so my battery died on my tractor, but it was starting with a portable backup battery. I mowed with it a couple weeks ago and then got it fired up and mowed a bit this afternoon. After a break I went out and without the backup connected, I turned the key. It clicked a couple times, but no fire. Then I hooked up the backup and nothing. Checked to make sure the drive bar was in the neutral position and that the cluck bar was back and I could see it hitting the cut off switch as it should. No nothing. No clicks, not turning, silence. Any ideas? Thank you, David

There is a 20 amp fuse protecting the ignition switch.

Download the 7 page file - one diagram for each major circuit.

You need to get a good wiring diagram and follow the power from a known good battery, through all the starting circuit. And as stated check all connections as you proceed.

Thank you for all this. Mysteriously, the tractor started right up this morning. Maybe some wiggling helped. I'm going to use the diagram and go over it carefully to see if I can find a weak link. Thank you all for your help. Have a peaceful Memorial Day. Best, dwc
