nylyon-(Admin) 7,880 #2 Posted August 7, 2009 I don't have a tiller, but here is my understanding on what you will need. First on the tractors usually permanently mounted. 1. Rear lift cable and brackets to lift the tiller 2. Rear axle mounting bracket. Then for the tiller: 1. Tiller (obviously) 2. Idler bracket for the belt with springs and associated hardware. 3. Tiller belt and belt guards if available. I would suspect that the tiller would work best on a hydro because of the more variable ground speed, and the hydraulic lift should make it easier to boot. Then of course if you get one, having your local RedSquare members borrowing it once a year is always helpful :thumbs2:
truckin88 104 #3 Posted August 7, 2009 coach, you are not located near the train yard in Brewster are you? I work for MNRR, and I always pass by a house with 2 Maroon stripe style tractors (actually black strip) that are in the driveway or on a trailer.
