rwilson 128 #1 Posted August 5, 2009 I have replaced the roll pin on the curved rod where it conects to the clutch about 4 times. Anyone know what I am talking about? Why would I be breaking so many of these? I just replaced the bearing in the clutch the old one was shot. But I havn't tried it to see if its going to break. Maybe the bad bearing? :thumbs2:
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted August 5, 2009 Are you using high-quality (USA) roll pins or cheap imported junk? How much force did you have to use to engage the PTO? It sounds like the adjustment was WAY too tight. Normally the outside snap ring on the stub shaft will pop out of it's groove before the roll pin will break.
