T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,602 #1 Posted July 31, 2009 Tomorrow is August 1. The last couple of years we started preparations for the calendar for the upcoming year in August. So, it's time we got started thinking about next years, 2010, calendar. So, with that in mind, I will make a plea here for someone to step up and do this year's calendar. I have done the last two years, but I feel, with the wealth of diverse knowledge here, someone may be more qualified to to this task. I think we can put out a better product than last year's. See link for last years: http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=5300 and the calendar: http://home.comcast.net/~lyon.family1/reds...areCalendar.pdf Everyone can participate in the calendar. First off, any volunteers to do the calendar? I know that it can be done better than my version of year's past. So anyone? Second, any suggestions for a "free" calendar format. I have done the last two years using excel, but I feel there should be better options. So any suggestions? Next, we need pictures - of the high resolution kind. They don't have to be tractors of show quality, they could be, but I would like to have a variety of show quality, workers, Horses in action, etc. I'm not into themes, but we could do that, though I like to see a diverse mixture of years, show horses, working horses, unique attachments (as long as it's attached to a tractor), etc. So, everyone, submit your pictures here. You can add reply to this thread. NO ATTACHED IMAGES PLEASE Use photobucket or another outside host. You can either put the photos in this thread or link to the picture. Remember we want high resolution and good quality pictures. We will consider all pictures, but keep in mind, there's only 12 months in the year, so not pictures will make it in, unfortunately. So, let's have it.
nylyon-(Admin) 7,880 #2 Posted July 31, 2009 Terry -- First, thank you very much for the past 2 years of RedSquare Calendars, I can only imagine how much work you put into them for us. I for one have enjoyed them immensely. All -- If anyone could help out that would be terriffic, if you've seen the past 2 years, it is a difficult job, but the results are really fun! :thumbs2:

T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,602 #8 Posted August 1, 2009 Keep them coming, guys. Awesome. And yes, high resolution is recommended. Also, I like to have pictures that's seasonal related, i.e. snowblowing for January, etc. Last year, for the month of July, I used a 300 series with the American flag in the back ground - a good homage of Independence Day. Karl had a Santa on his Wheel Horse once, which was good for December. Get the drift? And I would like suggestions for free calendar software and if a computer geek steps up and says, I can do better - then I'd say, "great!"
MikesRJ 558 #9 Posted August 1, 2009 And I would like suggestions for free calendar software and if a computer geek steps up and says, I can do better - then I'd say, "great!" Suggestion: DigiLabs makes a really nice package call "My Photo Calendar & Cards" which is quite easy to use and produces all standard sizes of calendars. It's not free, but I could donate! Link to DigiLabs License Page License costs about $25-$35 depending on which package you buy. I be one such computer GEEK, and am willing to throw my hat in the ring to help! jpmcleod 4 #11 Posted August 4, 2009 I was looking at the sicle bar tractor and wanted to offer anyone with a similar tractor that needs any sicle bar parts, let me know. I have what I believe to be the whole set from a Bronco but the (wobble) box is busted. Any parts are available to anyone who needs them. Call me at (407) 957-6606 and leave a message. I would like to see someone get them that needs them. Under edit: Please only comments or pictures related to the calendar itself. If you have questions on other topics, like sickle mowers, please post them in the proper section. Thank you.
