Anybody know about Ford 9N/2N Hydraulics?

Finally getting around to rebuilding the old worn out hydraulic system on the wife’s Ford 2N. Got the top cover and cylinder assembly removed a day or so ago and dropped the hydraulic pump out of it tonight after work. Took the pump over to the shop and cleaned it up and began disassembly. Started reassembling one of the valve chambers and that’s when I noticed something I’m not sure about. The parts manual shows a gasket between the pump body and valve chamber, and this gasket is included in the kit I purchased, but our pump did not have a gasket there, only these two O-Rings, neither of which are in the kit, nor are they shown in the parts manual. C40A78BF-0628-4C56-9BD3-05F43E133656.jpeg.e62289a3bfbfa64e08068eae2c866030.jpeg

The other thing I noticed that I’ve never seen before are these rubber seals under the caps that retain the valves in the valve chamber, once again not in the rebuild kit and not shown in the parts manual43DD66BF-14C9-458D-8874-F6A0916217A1.jpeg.a77af924b2b962d465dbdb9b5a930089.jpeg

Here is the complete pump before tear down for reference…looks like every other N series pump I have ever seen. C35CD67E-5784-4B01-9A76-806FF39ED521.jpeg.d55cb3dfd159f20cb84d778969b28aac.jpeg

So what say all you experts out there? Has anyone else ever been into one of these and ran into this? It’s really not a big deal, just confused as to why this pump is different from what is shown in the parts manual and different from every other N series pump I’ve seen before

For reference here is a picture of the valve chamber I’m used to and was expecting to find, as well as the parts diagram for the N series hydraulic pump

There are a few videos on youtube that address the pump on a N-Series Ford.  If you run across the one from Rachel and Dan Gingell, she put in the valves upside down.
