tranders 0 #1 Posted July 24, 2009 The friction material has come loose from the brake band on my 653. What should I use to reattach the friction material to the band (epoxy)? Thanks for the help!
MikesRJ 558 #2 Posted July 24, 2009 You can try the epoxy, but it is a job best left to the professionals. Either find one someone wants to sell (here or eBay are good places to start), or have it relined. These guys do really good work, if you choose the relining path: All Friction, Co. (Connecticut)
fordsonmajortom 1 #3 Posted July 24, 2009 I epoxied the friction material back on on my Lawnranger and it hasn't come of yet. I cleaned it up, attached the band to the tractor applied the epoxy to the friction material fed it in between the drum and the band and applied the handbrake as hard as i could and left it . Works fine. Michael
