My First Time

Sean's Dream

OK, I did it. Picked her up last night. Will have a LOT of questions for sure. Been wrenching for 30 years so I figure I can fix near anything when parts are available and there's a knowledge base that I can tap into. was nervous about the Renault engine too.

Need headlight bulbs, Aux hydro doesn't work for some reason.

Will prob look to modify points/distributor at some point but she runs

I got an old 212-6 I'm now parting with in Eastern MA

Thanks in advance,

Jerry

Sean's Dream

Thanks, I have the engine operator's manual but I'll be looking for the parts manual for engine and tractor. Got it running last night, tried to move a big rock but No Go, LOL.

Wish it had a tach so I don't over rev it. Anyone know the max lift weight on it?

Thanks again,

Jerry

 Hi Jerry! It's great to see new members. I hope you have LOTS of room, 'cause 1 horse just isn't going to be enough :thumbs2: I started with 1 and now have 3! It looks like you have a sweet ride there. Hope to see you at next year's show OR the one in Windsor, PA October 1-4. You'll find plenty of info and great people here at Red Square.

I have a D-250 also. Just email meif you have any Q's about parts. You can get the headlight bulbs at your local parts store.

Your loader can lift between 5 and 600 pounds. You can't overrev the engine because it has a governor. Change the fluids in everything so you don't damage any german parts and also put an oil filter on the engine. The engine should top out at about 3000rpm with the governor.

I suggest don't run it at all until you have replaced all fluids.

Yahoo D-series sites:

Wheel Horse D Club

Wheel Horse D Group

JOIN BOTH!!!!

To find these sites go to yahoo and click on groups and search and join these two.

Good Luck

Charlie

Jerry

First thing I would do is get the loader off and give it to me, it will move better without all that weight on it :thumbs2:

Good luck with it, very nice machine there.
