stevela 6 #1 Posted January 30, 2023 I'm trying to find out about this tractor if it's been repainted or what. Model number is 104758 serial 937502 I want to make an offer for it but not sure what is fair also. Any info or advice?
nylyon-(Admin) 7,121 #2 Posted January 30, 2023 That is a 1973 “10” affectionately known as a horse with no name.
Pullstart 59,740 #3 Posted January 30, 2023 (edited) And something tells me it’s a repaint. I still like it though! Edited January 30, 2023 by Pullstart

wallfish 15,935 #5 Posted January 30, 2023 Grab that 60s tractor in the back too! A couple of pics doesn't really tell enough to say exactly what it's worth. Does it run? Can you drive it and test it out thoroughly? Does it run good? No smoke? No funny noises? ticking? No trans noises? Does the trans still hold power after warming up? What else is missing besides the belt guard? Is the battery good? Is the steering tight? Tires? Etc Etc Etc Lots of stuff to consider.

EB-80/8inPA 1,517 #8 Posted January 30, 2023 I’m with @wallfish, try to work a twofer deal. If it runs, see if you can steal it for $200, it’s probably worth twice that anyway, but that deck looks a little sketchy from the pics. Maybe you can use that as a bargaining chip, IDK.

WHGuy413 2,506 #10 Posted January 31, 2023 Welcome. I had one that someone painted John Deere colors. Model 1257. I sold it to the kid across the street. It was his first tractor, he ended up with maybe 5 more.
Pullstart 59,740 #11 Posted January 31, 2023 @WHGuy413 I thumbs upped the fact that he ended up with more… not that paint job!

He did repaint and added a god awful stack on it. The thing was the loudest tractor I owned and still is. Kinda wish I never sold it. I think he has 4 more. A 520h, a suburban, 753 and one he’s been saying he was going to make a rat rod out of for years. Edited January 31, 2023 by WHGuy413

If it runs well and the Sundstrand automatic works well then an offer of $ 300 should be a good starting point. Sort of a shot in the dark if it isn't running.
Pullstart 59,740 #14 Posted January 31, 2023 I’ve gotten non-runnners for $100 up to $225, I’ve gotten runners for $50. It all depends on the seller’s intent I suppose.

DoorGuy 1 #16 Posted February 2, 2023 Raised the price from 300 yesterday to 500 today. Tough to tell in the photos of its repainted. Neighbor was telling me the military was using Wheel Horse. Also no markings though in the photos.
