Sailman 1,299 #1 Posted January 14, 2023 (edited) I picked up a couple of Tractor Supply Hi Run tires at 50% this week. They are 18-8.50-8. The originals are 18-6.50-8. I was hoping to use them but when I got looking closer at my stock rims I'm afraid they are too wide. Anyone have experience with this wide of a tire on the stock GT 14 rims? The stock rims as best I can tell are 4 - 4.5 inches space between rims (width). The tires measure closer to 6 inches where they mount on the rim. I have an aftermarket rim with a 18-8.00-8 and it appears to be more like 6 inches between rims (width). Just want others opinions before I take the tires back for return. Thanks! Pullstart 67,006 #2 Posted January 14, 2023 (edited) I wouldn’t be afraid to run them, I doubt they are actually 8.5” wide. If anything, maybe closer to 7.5” once mounted, only 1/2” bulge per side. Edited January 14, 2023 by Pullstart 1
953 nut 60,238 #3 Posted January 15, 2023 Go for it! The front tires on my GT-14 are 8.50 four ply and they fit just fine. That hub was on backward but I switched it around. 1
