Tim C. 1 #1 Posted January 11, 2023 I have an older model mower (? year) that is losing spark and dies after 10 min. Let it sit for 3 hrs and it will run for 5min. I think it has an Onan engine. Hard to read the numbers on it but the best I can desypher is as follows: Model 321-20502 Serial # 1020474. Tag on the engine OE1254-N 210964B 0913770335116799 taken from the engine cover. The # on the coil ZH7125160826. Any help with identifying the age or a solutions to try appreciated.
lynnmor 6,766 #2 Posted January 11, 2023 (edited) A photo would help. If it is an Onan, the most likely causes of lost spark when warmed up are the ignition module found under the flywheel, or the ignition coil above the rear cylinder. Download the Onan Service Manual to find the troubleshooting of the ignition system. After reviewing the manual and doing the testing, return here for additional help. The Ignition Module is very expensive, aftermarket coils can be had for cheap. Disregard this post, apparently you have a vertical shaft Onan so you should download the files in the later post. RED-Z06 2,118 #4 Posted January 11, 2023 Its amazing that i cant cross a single one of those numbers to anything at all that gives me any clue as to what tractor or engine it is. Is it a twin or single?
953 nut 51,630 #5 Posted January 11, 2023 The problem may be engine related or it could be a wiring issue that is intermittent. This manual should be helpful.

The model number is not written correctly for search purposes 321-20502 should be 32-12O502 32 = lawn tractor 12 = engine horse power O = Onan engine 5 = 5-speed transmission 02 = parts list identifier Search results https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/search/?q=32-12o502&quick=1&type=downloads_file
