What hydraulic fluid does a 1988 418A use?

I don't have the manual for it. Help is appreciated.

Your tractor has an Eaton 1100 series transmission, and shares oil with the hydraulic system. It uses 10-30w motor oil.

Use a NAPA 51410 or Wix 1410 filter. Plenty of others fit, but you want one without a bypass valve.

 

Use a small tube in the funnel to let the tranny vent. Otherwise it takes hours to get the oil in throught the fill tube.

Your 418-A should be a 1987 one year model with a Kohler  twin cylinder Magnum engine if original

That Wheel Horse was bought new by a family member in 88 and handed it down to me because it was not running and he didn't want to mess with it. Will send pictures soon
