Ignition switch Question

Does the ignition switch on the 655.656,657 return back from the start position when you turn the key loose or is this a manual operation? I may have a damaged switch, because mine does not snap back after the engine starts..it has to be manually switched back

It should spring back to "run" when released from the "start" position.

Sounds like it's time for a new switch.
