Maybe cut teeth into the angle?

Around HERE it's ok if the teeth are more aggressive. Not for everyone of course.

I was thinking of going even a little further and making larger more pointy shark like teefses.

Another interesting thought there.

Run a weld bead on the bottom edges of any teef you make to make them hard.

Points will wear pretty quick by grinding hard into the dirt and rocks so don't get too sophisticated. :twocents-02cents:

They'll bend over a lot easier too

I don't see that being an issue.

Most of the digging in is caused by the tractor being pulled back towards the hole. Too much float by making it too big will probably skid them across the top of the ground more. They need to dig in some to hold.

Maybe cut teeth into the angle? see below

I was also thinking about adding pins bolted or clipped to the front bucket. Added to the magic drawing LoL

Having the front bucket ALL the way down lifting the front puts the entire weight of the tractor on the hoe bucket and and helps to keep it from moving back

Interesting idea to try pinning the bucket to the ground--keeps the force through the subframe.

LoL

My point (see how I did that) being that making them simple, easy to make, easy to change and as a sacrificial part purpose might make sense.
