Lman 14 #1 Posted October 22, 2022 Trying to breathe life back into a 1975 VM80 engine. Spark and wet spark plug, engine turns over, valves move but it doesn't fire. According to the Tecumseh engines manual, it should have a Series 3 or 4 carb. This engine hasn't run for 20+ years, there might be stale fuel still in the system or crud in the carb? Would that be the best thing to clean out next? Should I try spraying some carb cleaner in the air intake first to eliminate other possible issues?
