ReelFaster 53 #1 Posted October 12, 2022 Anyone know where you can get a muffler heat shield for a WH? I've seen maybe one or two around on ebay but not much. I think that you would need to run the material thru rollers to get it round. The Wheel Horse shields are carbon steel with a stainless layer to make it pretty. If that outer layer is worn or scratched it can rust. If you pay a premium price for a used one, be sure that it has no significant wear. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

That is what I have on my 418-C. Bought a small piece of stainless steel perforated metal and just hand formed it to fit the couture of the muffler with about an inch between the two.
