Hey All, Putting the above engine on a '66 Lawn Ranger and wondered if anyone knows how to correctly wire the engine to the ignition switch? Heres where i'm at so far.....there are 2 wires coming from the engine (not counting spark plug)....a red wire that comes from the magnito and a green wire that goes to the points (looks black but is green in the engine), Shown is the plug from the engine, the coil setup, and the switch I have. My question is which terminals on the key switch do I attach the red and green wires from the engine? I hope to get it right so i don't burn up something. The engine doesn't have an external diode like my older Tec unless its missing????....I think the engine is around 1972. Thanks for any help!
