I have been messing with this thing off and on for over a year, still don't know what is exactly wrong with it, but I have part of the problem narrowed down, just not sure how to fix, when the battery is hooked up and key off there is a 13 volt drain on the battery (I removed the ground cable and installed volt meter between cable and battery, if I disconnect the two yellow wires coming from my magneto, the drain is eliminated, this model does not have a voltage regulator, but if I'm understanding correctly, it is suppose to have diodes to convert the ac voltage to dc voltage, but i cannot find them. Is it possible they corroded and the last owner cut them out of the wiring harness and that is why it is over charging. Is it possible to wire up a voltage regulator on a model like this?
