I remember where I was and the feeling of dismay that such an attack could happen in the land of the free. I will spare you the details of the long day that followed at work but it is etched in my memory. The magnitude of this single coordinated attack on the United States of America makes it stand out but if we are not paying attention to the quantitative impact of the crime, creeping socialism, deteriorating morals, and injustice that is so pervasive throughout our society we are experiencing another 9-11 attack every month, it is just spread out over the entire country. We have an election coming up in a few weeks. I hope everyone will get to know the candidates and choose wisely. Local school board members are the key to our future as a free society, get to know their views on a variety of subjects. Local justice officials are also a key component of protecting our freedom. Get to know their stance on dealing with crime.

Welcome! Got a model number for the plow? That would allow you to search in the Manuals - Implements section for the Exploded diagram & parts list. Is it a simple 1/2" diameter steel rod with a 90 degree bend at each end?? If so many of us (myself included) make a better version using a straight piece of 1/2" round stock and thread the ends 1/2-20 for a pair of Heim Joints. MUCH smoother feel, no slop.

September 11, 1841, John Goffe Rand, an American portrait painter, receives a patent for the first collapsible tin paint tube. Up until then, artists had to mix their own oil paints and store whatever was left over in animal bladders.

Added a receiver hitch to the rear of my RJ-59 to attach a garbage can hauler. I have a very steep driveway and at 66 it is difficult to get the heavy trash cans to the curb. Worked better than expected and I still get joy out of driving my grandfather's tractor he purchased new. BTW this is how I learned to drive!

PA Folks, let's get some horses at the Nittany Antique Machinery show this year! There is usually only a handful of horses there and they belong to me! This years feature is IH so show out and bring a different kind of red! Dry camping is available on site on a first come first served basis. See the link for more details. https://www.nittanyantique.org/

Finally got around to getting pictures of the A Liner camper 'remodel '. Here is where we ended up: Here is where we started: The addition is a crate for our dog's sleeping quarters. The refrigerator, sink and associated plumbing is gone. The refrigerator will be installed in our small Coleman travel trailer, and the sink will become an outdoor camp sink on our property in Ky. Took a cross state jaunt yesterday to pick up a few parts for EJ, the 8n from Steiner Tractor Parts. Got a couple of odds and ends for a couple of neighbor's tractors - a Massey Harris 40 and a Ferguson TO-35.

Thanks, I'll go easy near the decals. I think the trans turns. Seals are a good idea. Dave

Looks great. A couple things...be careful with the penetrol on the decals. Usually fine but I've found that some will lift around the edges. That's very few that I've had and I use it quite a bit. It's a really good treatment for patina so just test it before you give it a full bath. As far as the flush is concerned, you might want to go ahead and see where you can source oil seals. It's not uncommon for old, dry seals to leak after a flush. They're available.

This is the blade sold back in 1984 for your tractor but any blade from 1973-2012 for the long frame tractors is basically the same so you could have one of many.

Took the 1257 (Vince) out for a drive in the wilderness today, after replacing tie rods with some homegrown tie rods.

Don't forget the grommet, gasket, seal or whatever it's called today, that seals around the oil filter. I know that you are aware of that but I thought it might be a good time to remind others in this crowd. I do wonder why the oil filter is so far from center of the opening, it appears that the tins need to move back.

I walk around with my head towards the ground in the back barn… it’s like a magic parts shed most times. We had a different project lined up with a K1500, and we planned on a 5 speed swap. We have the flywheel, clutch, pedal assembly, driveshaft, crossmember, all that. But it was for a K1500. The bolt up stuff underneath is one thing. The under dash stuff is another.

Good news, the mechanical stuff can be fixed.

It should treat you fine. I have a neighbor who is a cub guy. Has a 1050 and a 1650. Both need major work. I've tried to get him to take one of my Wheel Horse's, but the Cubs are easier for him to get on and off of.

Welcome Charger Chris. I hope you enjoy the site. This is a one stop shop for all you need to know about these tractors. Manuals will keep you busy for a very long time. When you can, become a supporter. You can post endless pictures and it is only $20 a year..

Killing time to go to the last tractor show so finished up a Onan I got from @Blasterdad at Pullstart's plow day. Should have left the heat shield off 'till after retorque heads run. I have high hopes for this being a decent shelf motor for the 520s. Hope you like the color changes. Just something different.

When we moved a few years ago & significantly downsized. Had a 4 bedroom 3700sq/ft ranch w/full basement. Now in a 1000sq/ft ranch on a slab- no regrets! I promised her since we really dont have room for her hobbies/crafts etc that I'd have a she shed built. Great decision. Ran electric & is insulated w/heat so she can use it all year.

Soon, maybe it will be cool enough to flush the trans on the 551. Waiting to re-install the steering box on the Ariens and then back on the 551. Steering bevel gear and shifter collar on order. Gonna look at coating the rusty patina with Flood Penetrol. Dave

@Dave D. Just wondering how much time do you have to give the PC-7 epoxy before you can start shaping it? I would like to have a few of the wheels Ive thrown away over the years, could've probably saved them but had no idea about trying anything like this, heck there may not have been anything like PC-7 back then though . BTW looking good and will be following along with interest. A 551 burb is what got me started in this endeavor some 35/40 yrs ago and I still have it.
