@squonk had a great idea, why not include a 20th anniversary RedSquare banner in the Big Show Raffle! One lucky person going home with a #3 of 3 20th anniversary RedSquare banner, will that be you?

I was gentle as possible loading it, I have a tractor cover over it now from Lowe’s, I think it’s tight enough and won’t blow off. Got the tub cart on the back of the truck also for the warden to ride in.

Its always nice to have whacky memories from every show. This year was the wrong restaurant, getting detoured then turning the wrong way ( Thinking of you Waldo.) Then getting grease on my favorite shirt. Had to utilize @stevebo's on site 24 Hr laundry service. Dawn Power Wash and a run through his 5th wheel speed queen made it look brand new! Only took 1 pic today ( Thursday) but hope to get more tomorrow. Can you guess who the Masked Man is?

Just got one from him myself, excellent quality and I thought very reasonable.

Made a trailer hitch for my 520H. I did get it painted but will have to wait on paint to dry b4 getting it mounted to tractor . I made this out of stuff I had laying around but if I would have had to buy all my metal new I would just order one from wheelhorsepartsandmore, I don’t believe you could build one much cheaper if you had to purchase the metal.

    Rare? Don’t worry. Regular? Bad

Doubtful. Continued clashing WILL BE a problem.
  18. 2 points
Agree with that! A flapping cover will wear the paint right off

Just be careful the wind doesn't blast it and mess up paint.

I'll be going next year! Had another show overlap this year, but I'm excited to meet some of you 's and strike some deals! (P.S. I'll be bringing an empty trailer!)

Just WOW. I love the 61 steekers. My 702 steeker, not so much. I wish it wasn’t so abused. I’d have to replace nearly everything to get it anywhere close to looking like your 701. Fantastic job.

Got the motor swapped over from kRusty, battery in, starter cranks, fresh oil and fuel lines, chased the threads for points and cover. Just need to figure out how to mount my classy white bass boat seat without the crazy mount they used on kRusty and Whitey will be on the truck. I’ll see ya’ll in the morning.

At least the belt guard buffed out nice. If the hood looks as good I will be happy.

I took the advice you all gave me on here as well as some of my next door neighbor and got the 856 running driving.. first time in over a year!! Thank you all very much for continued assistance encouragement and advice. 1. Neighbor told me take piece of wood and elevate the fuel tank.. disconnect the electric fuel pump (due to possible me connecting it wrong and reason no fuel reaching carb before)… and gravity feed the engine instead.. I did that and it worked!!! 2. Would like to keep it gravity fed…no hills here… simplier… thoughts? Need to find more permanent way to elevate fuel tank since the wood isn’t secured.. and it puts tank closer than I like to voltage regulator… I did zip tie some rubber bicycle tube to the front of tank to help insulate it from voltage regulator touching… insulated ignition wires as well near key with bicycle tube and zip tie. 3. The blue kayak strap was used due to not having a long enough bolt to secure the OEM tank strap since repositioning throttle cable and adding fuel pump bolt so that no longer allows orginal position or tightness of fuel tank strap. 4. I did get 2 more fuel hose clamps and a longer bolt for fuel tank strap since I drove tractor for 2 minutes then removed battery while I figure out wood elevate secure issue for Sunday. Any recommendations on fuel tank elevation suggestions and securing?

K&B had the points plunger i needed, and thanks to @squonk and @702854boy, i now have everything to make sparks and find out if i have a good motor, maybe tomorrow. Still looking for the 6908 drive pulley for a gear drive deck to make everything play nicely together. From what I’m gathering, WH added the 6908 pulley which has the larger outer drive pulley, to a standard 5-2362 gear drive mower so it could be used with the PT-6 pto, and called it a RL-366 mower. The one in the manual appears solid, while the one i spotted at the show today is spoked. 5” or 6” outer pulley with two smaller pulleys behind it. If anyone happens to spot one, please give me a shout and i’ll stop by Saturday morning.

Plenty of good and/or fair deals. Bought an 867 from @WHX?? that’s turn key…and also stumbled across this nice C-81(a model I have been after for a couple years) that’s also turn-key.

Hello Everyone, I was thinking that there would be more of a difference on the leak down numbers compared to the compression differences. I will pull the heads and see how things look. I will also keep my eye out for another LT17 series 2. I will follow up with my results. Is there another motor alternative out there that I could use without to many alterations. Thanks, Bob

Pull the heads off and look for scored cylinders. If the cylinders look good check the valves. My money's on it needing the valves adjusted. Unfortunately they have to be removed and the stems ground. I haven't had the best success doing that in the past.

Just stick with your K181 The shaft on your linked engine is to small and too short. I know you are trying to learn but stay focused on what you have.

last V61's I bought came from them, they were a few dollars more but no added fees. I almost pulled the trigger on a set from tires easy and happen to notice the hidden fees before ordering and got mad and have never went back to them.
