We plan to do a Red Square 20th Anniversary group photo on Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27. The location will depend on the weather, if it is a nice day we will gather near the entrance to the show field (AKA Squonk's Corner) and in the event of rain we will move into the display building. Times are yet to be determined but there will be plenty of advance notice and announcements on the public address system. Plan to be a part of the celebration.

Just finished cleaning off the winter cob webs, changing the oil, sharpening the blades, and replacing the air filters. Ready for the grandchildren. (1967 T1067 and 1982 SK-486)

June 10, 2002, A man was arrested and charged in the attempted murder of a police officer after driving into a patrol car while attempting to flee from sheriff’s deputies. Soon after, police discovered that he was already a wanted man. He stole a Krispy Kreme doughnuts delivery truck, police who pursued and caught up to the vehicle said he had led police on a 15-mile chase, leaving a trail of doughnuts behind. The incident was the subject of nationwide media attention and, as it involved cops and doughnuts, kept late-night comedians busy for several days.

Just found this thread and realized I had this picture. This was pulling in the driveway after we made the trip to pick up the C160-8. My youngest son had to ride on the tractor down the driveway.

Originally it was red, someone has slapped that blue on it for unkown reasons. Easily made red again though.

I picked this up at a consignment sale with the intention of fixing and possibly putting in an engineless 552 or something like that. Anyone know what this would have been in with the plug in electric start?? I was thinking maybe a tiller or snowblower? My wife was way too happy about this purchase lol

This past weekend we had the 15th (ish) UK meet. Around 35 horses from around the country. A few custom ones - you can’t have too many and 10 round hoods, which is a record for us here… no idea where they come from! My own basket case made it, and then the pull start broke on the first day leaving it bricked! 😭 here are a few pictures

I though Bob is the chief cat herder? Looks like Vins RJ took one to the gonads for not complying.

Whoever is planning on organizing a picture start practicing herding cats now!

Mine home built also built from a 60" blade cut down to 48" Its a drag type. The extra 4" each side helps when spreading dump piles of dirt or gravel. It just has a pin you have to change for the angle. The existing holes on the blade determined the length to center the blade.

Saw this on youtube, 2026 show. Lots of Wheel Horses, which made me think someone on here may had a tractor showing in this event:

Connect it to a battery backwards and he can claim it's NOS!

Looks like The Big Unit @ebinmaine owned it ...

Also, notice that Randy @rjg854 was able to get down on his knees and get back up again. Lot of us could ten years ago but can't now.

If the price is right, I'd bring it home with me. Get it operational first, decide on the paint color later.

The photographer just needs to pick a time and announce it, if people want in they’ll be there. Plus I think it can be announced over the loudspeaker system there

That holds true for most Fraternal Organizations too. But get the word out that there will be a standing vote to raise the price of beer at the next meeting, they come out of the woodwork......

Wrong color but it looks better than most I've found. It most definitely can be brought back to whatever level you want it to be. Like the blue? Service it up and run it. Wanna make it look better than the day it left the dealer? All up to you. Saving them and using them is what we all like to do.
  26. 3 points
Can keep it blue too if you are fond of it. Only rule is no john deere green. But Red really is the best color for a tractor. If you rattle can it, the common color a lot of us use is Rust-Oleum Regal Red, can also use IH red.

Kevin, I know you have a well deserved reputation for being an accident looking for a place to happen, BUT do you need five wheel chairs?

I just made my own. Heavy as heck so no downforce required. @Lee1977 Don had an old DOT wear bar that I cut a 56 inch section from. Worked awesome!

I “mulched” a 4ft tall back yard for a relative with my 401 after knocking it down with the 36” Jari sickle bar. Not recommended.

That’s good to know. Wasn’t to sure of the life expectancy on it but was going off how many hours we get out of our Toro equipment at work. I’ve spent 24 years at the same golf course in the turf industry. We’ve used nothing but Toro equipment and had exceptional service out of them. I know wheel horse was a totally different animal but wasn’t uncommon for us to get 3-4 thousand hours out of Kohler stuff. It was kind of an impulse purchase, but I knew I wanted one and it seems to be relatively well taken care of.

Keep it serviced and you should be about half way to the first rebuild on the engine.

Did some striping with my 867 tonight. Probably needs new or sharpened blades on the 32” rear discharge deck, still not a bad cut for a 59 year old rig! I will be on the lookout for a nice (not a project) 36” deck for this machine at the Wheel Horse Show.

That's where they were mounted. I've had a bunch of 1974 to 1977 C160s go through here. Several did NOT have an hour meter. Standard?... mmmmmmaybe....? If I have an extra one you'd be welcome to it.

The ones that bolt to the frame? I think they were sold to counter the weight of the full bagger system. They bring pretty good money. Ive seen $250-$350 asking price.

Most blocks have threads but after all these years they may not be usable without chasing them. In addition, those Allen bolts will not be nice to you if you try to remove them. I would saw off the pipe a couple inches from the block and use a split adapter with a clamp. Might be the easy way but you're not dealing with a new block, and heat and carbon will make changing now not alot of fun. Later 300 series machines used an adapter that threaded in with a 45 degree nipple for using a clamp on muffler. If you manage to get the existing adapter off and threads cleaned up, these can be found used online or by checking with the vendor section here on the forum. Good luck whichever way you decide to go.

8ntruck: Your welcome. Always good to get to the bottom of things. I used a small duel wire clip tester to find the problem. No more saying what the heck is wrong with this.

@Thegearhead0324 , pick any spot you want, just as long as you don’t pick mine!😂 Kidding, totally kidding I’m usually up in the show building. I’m not sure if I’m bringing any tractors this year or just stuff to sell?

Here’s a mugshot from last year’s show on my 312-8. I set up my blue canopy just across the gravel road from the Hospitality Center.

Better pics of todays haul. 5hrs of windshield time, low $ for this one. Tractor, deck, snow blower, & a set of tire chains. Runs great, mower deck is smooth & quite, tranny needs a little love. A new set of axle bearings & seals should cure the issue.
