Decided to make a mount a pressure washer for my gt14 works pretty good. Way better than pulling a cart around the house.

I tried this contraption a few years ago, worked pretty good.

February 27, 1960, Two decades before the famed "Miracle on Ice," another underdog U.S. Olympic hockey team defeats the Soviet Union team in the semifinals at the Winter Games in Squaw Valley, California. The next day, the U.S. beats Czechoslovakia to win its first-ever Olympic gold medal in hockey. Update: they did it again sixty-six years later.

When I got my first horse, iSaveTractors' parts and some of their videos accelerated my success. I just saw this post on FB and thought it was worth sharing here.

Another option is this brake cable from napa around $20 and you can get 2 cables out of it, by cutting it in half. It's handled everything I have thrown at it. Or since this is for around a 2004 Chevy crew cab brake cable you can get it for free by cutting it out of @Pullstart's truck

So I seem to have left y'all hangin' here. I found some time tonight to letter the hood & engine fan shroud. I wish that I had more to show but I've been dealing with O.P.S ( Other People's Sh..tuff). Got a Scrub Cadet that I'm painting this weekend and I also have a Simple-city paint job to get off my plate before I will get back to my own project. TTFN.

Two different setups. The “winch” here is the tractor’s rock shaft, anchored to the tractor at its pivot and pulling when rotated. 1. Winch doing the pulling is anchored, sn_tch block attached to load being moved, cable end anchored (along with winch) Load is spread across the two legs of cable between the winch and the sn_tch block. Each cable carries half the load; winch pulling on one cable against its half of the load winds two inches of cable to move the load one inch. 2. Winch doing the pulling is attached to the sn_tch block, one cable end attached to load being moved, one cable end anchored. Load is spread across the two legs of the cable: sn_tch block to load and sn_tch block to anchor. Each cable carries half the load. Winch pulling on sn_tch block carries the full load of both cables and moves one inch to move the load two inches (since moving the block can only move the load-attached cable, not the one anchored). Note: complete spelling of sn_tch in this context is a prohibited word in the website software’s dictionary

Well maybe not quite free but dang cheap. No offense Lowell but they can get somewhat pricey when one has more than one tractor. No idea if this will work but won't be for lack of tryin. Hardware store cable with a blob of braze on the end.

I've used Detroit Axle two times. Once in my 2014 Subaru Outback, and once on my 2014 Toyota Tacoma. In both cases the rotors and pads were superior to OEM. My only complaint was that the enclosed chrome lug nuts rusted. No warranty on them.

Stocked another 1200 trout today. No railroad along these streams. We float from bridge to bridge...all work.

You may find this interesting Don. I used the 800 special with the Eaton 5 hydro to build my sideXside. It had the same odd frame but did work well for a two seat show rider/pickup..

No totally different animal. I suppose a guy could fab the F plate to match alignment but might be easier swapping to a F plate frame. Linkage is altogether different too.

Thanks! I general contracted just the house 29 years ago. Then we had the room/porch and 3 bay added on 10 or 12 years later. We came from a 3 level condo before the house and both the wife and I were sick of stairs. I still have a basement in this house and the washer/dryer are down there, but for the most part it’s one level living.

I'm lost Truck ... I would think it would greatly decrease the force required? Kinda like a $natch block for a winch. No matter Joe that's using the old noggin for other than a hat rack. What I'm afraid of Richard. Oh well it's a experiment.

The first home-made lift cable with a big glob of braze I made up didn't last very long, broke right near the braze. I cut "V" notches in a couple pieces of scrap steel to make a die. They were a PITA to align but got the job done.

When we were going through our 6 speed tranny, we were able to find the seals on Rock Auto for cheaper than the jungle site or Napa, and they come with a magnet from there.

There fixed that for ya. Yep thought of that and had one in my grubby mitts but I couldn't get enough crimp on it. I'm sure that's what Lowell uses and if a guy could make a die for his HF press. Does that come with the plastic coating on it? I like that ...smooth operation greasy Pete approved. What did you use for the crimp?

Not sure if either are plows. I do see a few differences from Jim's plow to mine. Jim's mold board is bolted to the frog, my mold board is welded to the frog. Jim's land slide is held on with square head plow bolts, mine uses round head plow bolts.

Make sure you drive it across your "yard " at high speed in transport mode.

It’ll be up to the cable strength where the heat of the braze might have affected its temper and how well the braze penetrated into the braid for adhesion. Frankly, I’m glad someone is giving this a try! Good luck 🤞 👍 😀

Our first stocking of trout was hampered by the high waters and ice jams, but we managed to stock 1100 fish in 5 mile of stream.

Thanks @Handy Don for the explanation. I'll add my version: A pully is basically a force redirector - it just 'bends' the force in the cable into another direction, but does not change the load is carrying. How the block holding the pully and how the cable are loaded and anchored determines how the forces are distributed. Assuming that the lift handle is attached to the pulley and one end of the cable is attached to the tractor frame and the other end of the cable is attached to whatever load is on the hitch after running over the pulley. This means that the pulley in this application bends the cable 180 degrees back into the direction it came from. This loads the pulley with the load from the hitch and the cable anchoring force from the rear frame of the tractor. You have 2 cable loads going to the back of the tractor, which will require the lifting force towards the front of the tractor to be at least twice the load on the hitch cable.

Well, it's promising that he was expanding, rather than folding up. Looks like the emphasis will be more than garden tractors, but that's ok.

when I used the box scraper it was pretty long and lifted well off the ground not to sure it would work with a tiller.

Ha I'm flying by the seat of my pants here! But yes a guy could just buy the ends Ineed posted and take them to a shop for crimping. The trouble with Lowell is he provides all the other items a guy doesn't need. I asked him once if he wanted the big bag of ends and sheaths I have accumulated over the years. Recycle ya know. Silly me ... he has tons of them already. Here's what happens to the ferules. Perhaps over crimped? It doesn't pass the SS magnet test.

its astounding the pressure these cables must hold up to.i’m not saying that wouldn’t work, but that might not work.

I ended up going with the Facet pump 1-2 psi. It was a relatively easy install. It's quite and seems well made. But it didn't solve my problem. Something else going on. Even still, I'm glad i replaced it.
