13 pointsi’ve had this one for a few years, I picked it up in a fall show at Zagray show in October. It is a 1057 I have not been in a hurry to finish it because it’s pretty much original from what I’ve seen. Yes it has a lot of scratches on it, as the old timers used to say it’s only original once. Gotta finish the Valves. Do the points and then finishing the rest of it. Should be good to go. I use those 612s when I’m working on a project they don’t take up much room plus I still like those 612s. Hope you enjoy your projects. The last three is the day I picked it up. Enjoy all your projects.

13 pointsI found a classified ad on the Square a couple of days ago from a member only 20 minutes away. It was for a 1971 Raider 10 with accessories. FREE. How could I turn that down? So I gathered up grandson Mason, hooked up the trailer and off we went. We brought it home and put it all behind the pole building. It hasn't run for years, didn't have a battery, and worst of all, it's a Tecumseh HH100. Mason asked me what was I going to do with it? I knew what he was thinking as he just bought a Raider 12 at the show in June and may need some parts. I answered, nothing. Just going to use if for decoration. With that said, Mrs. M promptly decorated it. I guess Mr. Bones will be sitting out in front of the house on Halloween. Meanwhile, today I went out and bought a battery. Oh my goodness, what was I thinking?

11 pointsHeaded to the town transfer station this morning and saw this at the end of someone’s driveway. Had my favorite price tag on it as well! Investigation has shown it to be an International IH#2 cart.

9 pointsJust a few pics of the National Pike Steam Gas, and Horse Association Show August 8 2025. I did not get much old steam stuff, it has been very dry and it extremely dusty in the pit. Not many wheel horses but a lot of interesting stuff. It is real hard to beat tractor people. Always willing to talk, trade stories and help. The home made 4x4 was a good story. The fellows grand father built the machine 40 some odd years ago. It was sold and ended up his parents purchased it back a couple years ago and now he has it and uses it. Only upgrades was the alternator and a new winch for the dipper. Nice story. Wheel Horses Beaver Gravely with Ho Snow Cat ? Homemade 4x4 with dipper bucket and 4 wheel steer, used corvair transmission connected to jeep axles. Wisconsin engine Speedex And the General Lee was on Cooters Flat Bed! Farmall This guy has been there a while IMG_9053.mov

8 pointsI had to step away for a little bit. Found out that my best dog Milo has cancer and was given days to weeks to live. We unfortunately had to cancel our vacation, and put all trips on-hold for the big guy. My other dog has cancer as well, but has a little more time than Milo does. So been spending a lot of time with the dogs, and not being able to go on vacation decided to brush off the old boat sitting in the back yard for the past 6 years It took a LOT of work to clean it up, replace the bellows, fix the engine, trailer and a host of other things. My oldest daughter gifted us a slip on Candlewood lake in Connecticut, so we can get out occasionally. Milo is still hanging in, and we are enjoying the time we have left with him. Now that the massive boat work is completed, I hope to spend some more time here and get some hats out the door. If you read this far, Camo hats are available in the store and I will order some of the others shortly. Apologies for the delays on this, I needed the time though.

8 pointsLet’s roll! The second Saturday in August means it’s National Bowling Day. Question — do you know how to score a bowling game? Yes, you can only knock down 10 pins per frame. And there are only 10 frames per game. So how does a perfect score add up to 300? Answer: It’s more complicated than that. Strikes and spares have their own special (bonus) scoring system. And the 10th frame allows for one or two extra balls if you knock all the pins down. Got that? While it’s possible that bowling style games originated in ancient civilizations around the world, we likely can give credit to modern game of bowling to Germany. Kegels were placed at the end of an alley and Germans would roll a stone, attempting to knock them down (seriously, we looked this up).

6 pointsFront tires all on and front axle is greased. @Sparky The tractor is ready for work!!
-
6 pointsWorking on the Sparky tractor this morning. Got the transmission filled with fresh 80W140 gear oil. New dog point set screw and nut. New shifter boot. Ordered more boots from @76c12091520h. After some serious battling and creation of new words I finally got the rear tires mounted. Part of the challenge of that task was getting my air compressor set back up. I haven't had it usable for several months because of the rearrangement of the apartment and new workshop. It's great to have that back to usable but I do need to replace the drain valve which is apparently stuck in the closed position. I also swapped the seat to a smaller one that appears to be squarish like a 1045 seat and has a cover. Now moving on to getting the new front tires mounted.

6 pointsTechnically this is not a non tractor related discussion haha I have watched a bit of their stuff before, but not consistent viewer at all. But this is awesome!! Insane amount of work but a incredible result. Makes working on our Wheelhorse's look easy.

5 pointsI've being asked a few times both here on Redsquare and in person how I set this up. To give credit where it's due, this is an idea that I got from this site. I believe it was Richard @953 nut. Could have been others so I apologize if I'm forgetting someone.

5 pointsHappy birthday Randy! 71? Must be the coffee and chicken marsala keeping you so young! Sure ain’t hanging out with @squonk!
-
5 pointsIf I saw one of those on the side of the road with that price tag, that would be a squeal tires brake to get it Great score!!

5 pointsUpgraded my toggle switches in preparation for Fall leaf pickup and Winter snow plowing. Both require a close proximity to traffic.

4 pointsI found me a 42" RD deck last week that was close enough to go get, not rusted out beyond the point of salvage, and affordable. I've been wanting a RD for some time now so I'm happy to find it. I plan to hang it on my 314-8 tractor. The spindle housings are still very solid and were damp showing signs of lubrication present around the shaft even before I put a little bit of Kroil on the blade nuts. I'm going to get it cleaned up this weekend so I can figure out what needs to be done to make it serviceable. The very first thing I wondered is, is there a better way to clean out the webbing in front between the arches around the blade baffles. Does anybody have a parts and or users manual for it based on the ID tag. Here's a few pictures, and insights and ideas are welcomed

4 pointsNo plans as of right now. Most likely sell it to an IH/Cub Cadet collector to fund more WH purchases. I did stand it up on end, grease the axles and checked out the underside. The thing is SOLID!

4 pointsI did not succeed in getting the steering wheel off today. Letting it soak again. I even took a socket and put it on the steel center part of the steering wheel and hit it a bunch of times with a 2 pound sledge just to try to loosen it up and make it move and it didn't budge. I will probably try one more time later and if that doesn't work I will cut the shaft and take it over to my neighbors pretty sure he has a hydraulic press. What I was doing in this picture was putting that punch on the shaft under the wheel and balancing it while hitting the metal part of the steering wheel down with another punch. I did get the seat springs cut off those cross plates that got welded to them. And cut off the PTO bracket from the steering tower I was thinking about maybe repairing it but might be easier to get one somewhere. And then I repaired the steering tower Left the welds a little high on the bottom just to reinforce it a little more. I will probably have to end up drilling the threads out as well and just using a washer and nut

3 pointsSo I buddy of mine who I got into this hobby twenty years ago called me and said he was done. He kept his 953, and his B-80 that we restored many years ago. I bought the rest of his stuff, including two C-160’s, mid-mount grader blade and dozer blades which will be going up for sale soon. I really just wanted some of the stuff he had but he wanted to sell it all in one shot and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse! The things I wanted were a clock that we were told hung in the factory at 515 West Ireland Rd., a NOS high back seat, NOS hubcaps both red head and the newer style, and a couple of sets of cast iron wheel weights. The rest I will be selling at some point, including some D-series items and a lot of parts for 70’s and early 80’s tractors. I’m going to post it here first, but I’m not sure when? Probably after the summer as it’s a lot of parts to go through. The tractors may be up for sale sooner. Stay tuned or PM me if you see something in these pictures you might like!

3 pointsThank you, fortunately Milo has not passed yet. His days to weeks has been almost 2 months now. Pepper will be able to have some surgery to hopefully help her, thankfully our third “little guy” is healthy! Chase aka Little Guy is the big dog on the left.

3 pointsI've read that a healthy adult deer will easily hop a 6 foot fence and a strong buck can surpass 8 with little effort.
-
3 pointsWow! I watched that whole video and that was a ton of work. Those guys are definitely very talented. The end result is nothing short of bad ass!! I wonder how wide of a disc harrow it would pull? And one other thing, I’m sure like most guys here I’d like to operate Big Bud. Or take it in our Fourth of July parade!!

3 pointsHarvesting corn right now this is only about a 1/4 of it. Overall I did get less corn then I thought for the size of the corn plot. But it was the first year doing it and I learned some things.

2 pointsAre you still sleeping in the Big bed or are you in the Camper with the pin up girl ? Just curious

2 pointsFrame painted finished product tomorrow full builds on own page

2 pointsOne of two C-160’s that came with a whole lot of Wheel Horse stuff I bought today! I’ll post some pictures of the stuff in another thread so we can keep this one on track
-
2 pointsI’m sure you can breathe some life back into that fine machine. Not much hope for that operator, though. But if he starts driving it, RUN!

2 pointsThey should be 1/4"-28. I keep a variety set like the link below and 1/8" or #1 easy out like the long one in the set below should work when the fitting gets sheared off flush. https://a.co/d/c4BXRpn https://a.co/d/5KNqMWo

2 pointsMy '76 C-120 has a manual PTO, but also has a spot on the dash panel for a toggle switch for an electric PTO. The hole was filled with a plastic plug. Last night, it became the hole for a toggle switch for flashing lights I added - for working near a busy street.
-
2 pointsKevin posted this while I was slicing the birthday cake for Randy. Have a great day.
-
2 pointsLoading tractors for Symco noticed a soft spot. The upper corner of the door was bent in from dropping too hard so I believe the seal was compromised. What's worse is i stored the camper pitched to the back so I think melting snow ran in. More investigation is in order. Dan suggested some sort of drip shield above the door.
-
2 pointsI have a 1973 14-8 with a mechanical PTO clutch. The dash has an unused spot for an electric PTO switch. Wheel Horse was a thrifty company. Why have two dashboard part numbers ( electric and non electric PTO) when a 3 cent hole plug can cover up the switch hole when not needed, instead of tooling up and controlling inventory for a second version of the dash. My opinion, anyhow.

2 pointsPut the deck on the 314A project made a test run. She's not purdy, but she starts, runs, drives, and mows.-
