Thanks for the shout out, much appreciated. My philosophy when it comes to any of these parts that we're making is that it has to be right, it has to fit, it has to last , and it has to be something I would put on my own equipment. I just wish we had the capability to make more.....

I made a couple hood hinges on my 312-8 out of 2" x 2" x 1/4" angle. Got tired of the loose hood from worn out hinges, this tractor came to me with a lot of damage parts from other tractors.

If you're around Monday afternoon do feel free to stop by. We've spent the day at the Owl's Head Transportation Museum Air Show. IT. WAS. EXCELLENT. The parking lot was so full the Museum had to shuttle from satellite lots. Hundreds of exhibitors of all types of vehicles. We brought 4 tractors. The Museum put theirs out when they saw we'd brought them. Many great conversations about our Herd. The Air Show was fantastic! At the day's end we went back to camp, had a meal, and did an evening hike up Mt Battie. There's a stone tower at the top. Night views looking out over the lit villages of Camden and Rockland Maine. Beautiful views. Pics when we get back to wifi.

Throttling up and dying probably doesn't have anything to do with the governor setting. The governor controls RPM when the engine goes under load. I would normally call it a bad condenser first but I believe that Nova replaces both the points and condenser, so next thing would be fuel delivery. I'm not familiar with using those Nova things as all of my K90/91s still use points and condenser set ups. Start the engine and try throttling it up slowly by hand at the carb. You should feel the gov arm pushing back trying to close the carb. If you can throttle it up that way it might be the cable is opening the throttle too fast because there isn't an extension arm on that disc

Last year I purchased 2 kits from K & B . Needed one kit for my 1989 312-8 replacing the originals and the other kit for spares. As always very impressed with everything I have bought from them over the years. @76c12091520h Thank you for the time and effort reproducing these Brian.

So this weekend I turned 40. On Friday afternoon, Mrs. P surprised me with an opportunity to jump out of a plane at 17,000 feet in Grand Haven, MI. It was a blast! No regerts, no hesitations! We dropped 12,000 feet in 85 seconds. It was quick, but totally awesome! Yes, she jumped too! I

We saw the celebration for Psychic Day coming a long time ago! Held on the first Sunday in August each year, on this year, Psychic Day celebrates the power of all psychics. Did you know, psychics believe every person on this planet is born with some psychic ability? That’s why these celebrations also include recognizing people who are trying to hone their previously dormant psychic abilities. There are many different definitions of the term ‘psychic’, although it commonly refers to someone who is very intuitive and uses their extrasensory perception (ESP) or ‘sixth sense’ to acquire information that normal senses cannot pick up.

I have long appreciated the info, insights and advice here on RSQ as I have have become more vested in the herd since my original 312-8 we bought in 1989 -- one of the topics always of interest were the comments about saving the mower decks and especially the rust issue and the various strategies -- eg: Pete's advocacy of the oil and sun baking etc -- so a few weeks ago in June i removed my deck for it's typical routine mid summer cleaning -- pressure wash and oiling - - its now been a few weeks, so I thought i would share what the bottom of the deck looks like after what i am guessing was about 4 or 5 cuts -- but in full disclosure, I don't mow my lawn when its wet - i always use top throttle and and i don't wait for it to get 5 inches tall -- but as you can see the deck is still virtually bare of any stuck on accumulated grass debris and clippings -- so I guess its more proof of the value of oiling and other strategies to "SAVE THE DECKS " here are photos from cleanig and oil then after mutiple cuts

For a point of reference, I sold this unit about 3 years ago for the owner of the company where I work. Keep in mind we're in the middle of Pennsylvania where Wheel Horse was and is well known and very popular. Had around 600 hrs on it. It sold for $600

It wasn't even 9 HP, some of that HP was used pulling the dead one along.

An engine with retarded timing will start but not respond to the throttle well. If you have the instructions for the NOVA ignition system I would check the timing sequence first.

Today, after work I took the C-141 for a spin then modified the new exhaust pipe, removing a little over an inch, painted it and attempted to build a battery hold down for it. no pics as I was really getting into it.

I was able to find a nice 854 close to me. Its in good shape, all pieces are there and he had a mower deck for it. Also had lights but I dont think they are WH lights but I picked them up anyway.

Not my brightest day ...I had been sorting through my box of spark pugs... went to the Workhorse GT-1848 to see what plugs were in the B&S twin. pulled the front plug found it to be Bosch concentrated very hard on remembering the plug number. Went to mow later she didn't start well and was running a bit rough but when i engaged the blades something was wrong as she slowed way down. Opened the hood and you guessed it ...I hadn't put the plug wire back on... a 9 hp B&S can't handle hydro and 48" deck
