July 4th Side Shot!

Rearranged the battery operated tools and charging station.

Here’s a video of the show. I still have more footage too, and will likely create a longer video as well. There are licenses needed to be able to rightfully post drone videos, and I need to make one with and one without the full drone footage, in case one gets taken down.

How are your gardens doing this year? My corn is already 6' tall. And the green beans are doing great as well. Unfortunately I had to destroy the strawberry's as they were overrun by bindweed. And not producing much anymore they are around 7 years old too so it may have been time to go anyway. So I am working to destroy the bindweed. Seems to be hedge bindweed as it's climbing plants.

This kind of tells me that any time I get the chance to weld the inside of this joint (yellow lines), I should. It’s wild how much stress is in that spot, but how the inside is not welded. It’s like adding a double shear tab to a drag link. That’s always way more stable!

If I haven’t yet, The Xi series is a beast, but I have never seen a Kawasaki one yet. I’m no help These Xi frames are incredibly strong, and completely different than traditional Wheel Horse frames. Please inspect your front axle pivot. They wear badly and the weight of the machine makes it so you can barely notice. Before you go parts shopping you should have the tractor in your possession and do some basic trouble shooting. Frequently charging problems are a matter of a bad fuse holder or other electrical connection rather than a parts failure. We can help you trouble shoot the problem once you have it home. I used the clevis hitch and fitting one on it.

Finished up stripping a “for parts" P220. When I got into it, I discovered it‘d likely been running hard and died rough. One piston is seized solid. The crankshaft is intact but the flywheel key was sheared and the camshaft is in three pieces as is one connecting rod. Musta been quite a bang. Good news is I”ve now got a solid muffler and known good starter, ignition sender/sensor, stator, voltage regulator, coil, and governor components all of which can port directly to our worker P218 should the need arise. I’ll be putting the usable parts that I know I won’t need in a Classified. Free for pickup or for the cost of shipping.

Gave the 314A a bath. No pic, but I tested the 700. Hooked to a locust tree and she spins the tires in Fand R. Gave the 312H a bath while I had the pressure washer out.

Put the new to me C-101 to light duty work this weekend.

I gotta start figuring out where that Safari 390 is going! Upside down or right side up? Through the wall? Bench work light? Tool box?

Today I separated out all the new parts and continued clean up. Replaced all 3 axle grease fittings. Mounted the axle. Installed new nyloc nuts on the frame to attach-o-matic mount bolts 🔩.

Extra head bolt on the 16.

The XI machines are heavy and beast like everyone has already stated. They are very capable machines and you will enjoy. Parts are available through many sources, however I agree with the others and believe on waiting until it's in your possession.

On my D200 you put the supports stands in the tubes on the loader. The stands will have to be angled to the back. Then you stand on the tractor and lift up using the cross brace of the loader (Goes between the two side towers). as you lift the stands will swing forward until they are vertical The let the loader down to sit on them.

The powers that be allow those freedoms. It’s nice they did it on their property, paid for probably in cash. No bank, no debt. As a land owner who drives a 300,000 mile truck with no payment and wears rags for clothes most days, I’m preserving the land at any cost. If I didn’t, I’d have this field growing houses at my back door and I couldn’t do a dang thing about it. I can’t tell you the amount of vultures trying to buy my land now that it’s public record I’m the owner. If I just sold 5 acres to everyone who’s asked so far, I’d need more land to sell!

As explained in this video the hub was going to be out a hair to far. I needed to cut the spacer that the seal is going to ride on. I used what I had to get the job done. Not exactly neat and clean... but effective. After mounting the wheel on the hub on the axle I found I needed a wheel spacer. That's not at all surprising considering these wheels are universal camper or go-kart with a centered backspacing. Here's a trial fit with the wheel on the spacer on the hub. That photo angle is a little misleading on the width. I can't get it too accurate yet but I think the front is going to be around 42", 43" across. The back is about 41".

The deep std. big block oil pans most Wh's use takes the same gasket. Kohler # 235057

I think I got it! I tried another solenoid that didn’t work so I went back with some assistance from my father. I reviewed @953 nut s schematic piece by piece and it turned over by the key! Success! A little buttoning up before work tomorrow and I’ll see if it moves for a ride. 😎

Put the boat in the water, first time this year. Took a sloooow ride around the local lake with my wife. Taking it up to Maine next week and need to be sure it’s “OK”..you know how boats can be Nice restaurant that you can pull up to.. maybe next time. Note: I’m wearing a Wheel Horse shirt, always representing!

Does it have to be as high as the stands to clear the front tires?

Finished wiring a Kohler Magnum 10 to the ignition switch of one of the Raider 12’s. The engine was from a Cub Cadet that someone had on a wooden stand with the whole wiring harness, electric clutch, switch and ignition switch. Removed that harness and wired it up to the igntion switch that was in the tractor. So much less wire than what was on the Magnum when purchased. I still have things to do to it. But it’s progress.

I couldn't find any Flex Seal. I was told it was all shipped to Michigan so the Emergency Depts. there could quickly seal up head wounds from tractors falling from shop ceilings.
