I did manage to get a picture of @Chrishar and my tractors side by side again. The last time that our two tractors were together was when we made a trade with each other and were swaping parts in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Iowa. After we both put our personal touches on them. Chris's 753 and my 633.

Looking at my phone on the way home, I came to a realization. I suck at remembering to take pictures when I'm at a show!! I guess I was too busy living the moment to remember to capture it. I did have a great time talking with people and checking out tractors. Some pic's that I did take was on the way to the show. Spied a load of 1/2 scale tractors while putting fuel in. The craftsmanship and detail on these was impeccable. From a distance you would think they were the actual tractors, close up gave you the appreciation for the work that was put into them. @WHX?? was willing to take the Oliver 66 home. They were being hauled by a professional driver so we did not get to meet the owner. Anyone knows this guy please tell him how impressed I was with his machines.

Took out the five RJ’s for a breather! My twin granddaughters are going to do some riding today! It all started in 1960 when dad bought a 1958 RJ. ! Now I have five great ones - one for each grandkid if they want one! The RJ’s propelled Wheel Horse into the great company that manufactured these garden tractors. 1958/59 RJs had 22 attachments. IMG_0859.mov Wheel Horse made 24,000. Of them and garbed $2.5 million in profit to be able to build a brand new factory on the South Side of South Bend on Ireland Road!

A few years ago there was a great exhibit of half scale tractors and equipment at the Florida Flywheelers Show.

I was doing some cleaning and rearranging and found this from my trip to that I wanted to share! Back in 1987 I went to the Wheel Horse School of Business at Notre Dame, and I'm wondering what other members ever went to this training? It was great training and I learned a lot from it! When I got there the president of Wheel Horse started out saying that he'd just come from Disney World, and how he and his family had to wait in a long line to get in there! Then he told us that "until we have people standing in line to buy our tractors, we have work to do!" C-85

I was original looking for a 1955 RJ that had smooth hood with cast steering wheel but what I found I didn't want or was not for sale. Wondering around the least barn A to Z had a 1967 model 867 that did not look too bad, and the engine ran! The mower deck could use a new shell, but I cut part of my lawn when we got home Saturday. The lights work and that was road tested during the Friday Night Cruise. The tires are original, and I did need to find a few parts before leaving the show like another battery box (Thanks Lane), a correct choke cable (Thanks Daves Parts World) a hood ornament and a new steering wheel center cap ....... and I know where to get a N.O.S. cap. I own a model 1067 and 1267 so I needed a model 867 to complete the set. Wild Bill Richmond, VA

If you can convince Cindy that tractor is not mine... I didn't bring much home... no tractors anyway. A JK stack from RJG... a Clinton carcass. Some nice early sixties mufflers ... some stuff from the guy selling the terminal ends. Oooh a nice spring tooth for 10 bucks. Got a deal on a draw bar and hitch pin too. A nice welcome sign from the guy with the little flags.

I’ve been fortunate to have found a senior cart only 45 minutes from home . The rims are the same as 1955 rj-35 rims with spot welds & schenuit tires. After looking through literature I’ve been able to locate the advertisement . As of now i have been able to verify there is two carts known. One here in Connecticut and one down in Georgia.

Well it's hot out... so what better thing to do than some summer cleaning. Dragged the 3 Horsemen out for a cleaning. The little one came down and offered her assistance so we washed them up nice and finished off with a nice hand towel drying! Now to go melt in the pool!

I spent the day in my flip flops, since Waldo called me the flip flop kid. I figured being near 100 degrees, the lack of PPE, or a shirt, would be for the best. I stayed hydrated and got the trailer unloaded! My biggest prize would have to be the hundred dollar utility trailer, and I pretty much pushed it off the big gooseneck!

Two years ago I had to stop using my walk behind lawn mower due to hip surgery. I turned to my 312-8 to cut the grass resulting in lots of mown grass on the lawn. My solution was an Ohio Steel lawn sweeper purchased at my local TSC. After two years of success and failure I feel I can give an honest account of this piece of equipment. The sweeper was fairly easy to assemble and put to work. Learning which height setting to use was not difficult (I use #3 for grass). The first annoying problem I experience is the drawbar is somewhat short. This was corrected with a 24" maple board and an old hitch coupler which made backing up the sweeper much easier. Second problem and a design flaw which is not really a design flaw but makes it easy to damage the height adjustment lever. The lever is the most outside item on the left side of the sweeper as you pull it. If you're not careful it can get caught on a T-Post of a wire fence. Ask me how I know. When it snagged the post it bent outward and the locator pin would not stay in the indexing holes. To repair this I need to disassemble the sweeper to access this lever. Since I did not have a snap ring plier I had to a rig up some clamps to spring the lever back enough for the pin to stay in an index hole. I now have the pliers to completely disassemble the wheel and fully access the lever to finish the job (this job is on the list). Latest repair. The bagger is kept expanded with a vertical tube at the back of the bag. The base of the tube had a pressed in pin and the top had a pressed in nut which a thumb screw bolted through the top cross tube. This worked, for a while. Eventually the pressed in nut worked its way out and would no longer stay in place. The lower pin finally came out as well. These I repaired by pressing a dowel into both ends, drilling appropriately sized holes to accepts bolts, or screws if you wish. After bolting this together this supporting tube has not come out again. Overall the bagger has been doing its job of grass pickup as designed. It has also made leaf pick up a much easier job. On a scale of one to ten I have to give it a seven due to the repairs and modifications I have made.

They are amazing! Literally a smack in the face to the competitors, it had more front weight, fuel capacity, ground clearance and live hydraulic lift than anything else offered then. They are awesome workers, but some attachments like mower decks or snow blowers may be exclusive to that model group.

I got my new 14 Auto going today. The aftermarket carb had a float that wouldn’t quit flowing, a choke lever that was inside out, and the 2017 battery that we scooped off the barn floor held a charge for a week, long enough to pull fuel through and get it fired up! I’m impressed with this machine! After about 45 feet of driving it, it makes me want to keep it. The headlight lense is in great shape, the lights even work, and it’s quite quick! What’s not to love about a big block, hydro lift and electric clutch? The rear toolbox is pretty cracked up, and I sold the seat off it. I got thinking, since I passed @Sparky’s old 657 to BBT and @ebinmaine, maybe I should make this one into a round fender springer seat…

When Jane and I got married in 1980, we came to an understanding. I would do the cooking, she would be responsible for the washing up. Then she persuaded me to invest in a dishwasher! I still get told off if I don’t put my dirty dishes straight into the dishwasher!!!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes, everyone!! I was out hiking, camping, and kayaking in the Red River Gorge area in KY since Thursday. Got home around dinner time yesterday, so I'm just checking in here now. Much appreciated! This is from the top of a peak called "Cloud Splitter". You can see a little section of the Red River below, in the center. Elevation change from the river up to where I am is about 700 feet. Had to scramble up some rock to get up the last part of it. Didn't stay up there very long - it was BLOODY hot....

Thanks for taking us along Mrs. Rules . My kids for the third year in a row have given me grandkids. My first would have been 3 today . My daughter carried her full term knowing she would only live for a very short time . She was pregnant again last year and he’ll be one very shortly and my son just had a baby girl on Father’s Day. I love my grand babies but I really want to make it back to the Big Show to see everyone .

Each year the hard working leadership of the Wheel Horse Collectors Club produces an amazing gathering. I snapped a few pictures to share with everyone. @c-series don received recognition for his contribution to the hobby and celebrated his birthday at the show. Workhorse feature tractors were at the head of the line, even the pink one. Short5 ones Long ones Not all were red It was good to see @Mrs. Rules and @AMC RULES @Mike'sHorseBarn and @Handy Don were everywhere @Pullstart had a Kickstart that became a Won't Start so Rylee attempted to Yank Start it but it remained a Won't Start until Uncle Dan @Achto solved the problem. @squonk. @rjg854, @Achto, @WHX?? and @AMC RULES were solving the world's problems. Mine was not the only A-60 Electric at the show @Horse Newbie and his brother made the show This young man went through two tanks of gas and loved his Ahooga Horn.

National Pralines Day is on June 24 that celebrates a nut-based creamy confection that can be enjoyed in an assortment of ways. Pralines are a smooth and sweet treat made with nuts, sugar, and sometimes cream. They can be used in cookies, candy, and as a paste and they’re often made with pecans or almonds. The name is believed to have been inspired by French sugar industrialist and French diplomat César, duc de Choiseul, comte du Plessis-Praslin who used a powder called pralin made by grinding sugar-coated nuts.

Yes, I have developed a fondness for the 953/1054. They are a bit different than other Wheel Horses but do share the same ruggedness as other models and the majority of transmission internal parts are the same.

Heat is not a huge factor when waxing paint, sunlight on the other hand is. If you are going to wax it, make sure that you are not in direct sunlight. Park it in the garage or a shady spot, let it cool down for a bit, and then wax it. You will have better results. Waxing it will make it easier to clean.

I'm not a regular washer on my tractors. During warmer months, they are all dirty. Maybe once a year before they go up for a winter break, they get a bath. But as has been said, just dish soap and water works fine. So far as any wax goes, Meguiars hybrid ceramic is good stuff and easy to apply. Spray it on, wipe it off.

Mine are in perpetual work cloths. They get blown off about once a month with a leaf blower, and a wash/degrease mabe once a year - spray on Gunk, then like @ebinmaine, warm water with dish soap.

I picked up a few odds and ends, and the crowning jewel was my rj 58. Wanted one for years, but could never find one that I could afford. Have to thank Josh Vangalder for the red head caps, and the help getting rj parts. Thanks to Dave Trump for selling me the RJ. This girl is happy!!!!!

I feel your pain, but there is never a Wheel Horse electrical problem that can't be solved with a cool head, a good meter, and the proper wiring diagram. A tractor that was previously running but doesn't run later the same day is usually human error. Just my

I treat mine like a classic car… the chrome I keep shiny with a good polish, I keep it wiped down with quick wax/microfiber towel. I washed it a few times but it doesn't see bad weather or mud, only when I plow snow with it. The seat I use vinyl/leather conditioner. The tires I use tire shine. If it gets wet I immediately shammy it dry. I used ceramic wax on it once, no paint came off. My tractor is also spray canned/brushed, but everything I mentioned above keeps it protected. But if you use it like a tractor should be used and not really worried about looks, I would honestly keep it washed and keep the mower deck clean, plow blade clean, etc. Also fluid film is amazing for decks snowblower and blades as it stop rust and lubricates (all moving parts for that matter.)

We don't wax any of ours. Someone else will chime in there. Washing is occasionally done with a few drops of dish soap in warm/hot water then rinsed. Be very particular about getting as much grass and dirt off the transmission and engine cooling fins as possible.

It's chocolate ice cream from the social.... So we are sitting there eating ours and where's Pullstart he's gonna miss out? Off doing what he does best ... yakking with another guy. He got there just in time to get the bottom of the barrel to get a chocolate shake. Which he proceeded to dump all over his new RS hat! Speaking of the cruise I left that to the younger guys it was pretty cut throat driving. So I was sitting on the throne and the concrete in the bathroom was just rumbling and shaking. I didn't wanna die on the toilet so took a shower and when done they were still going at it so I went and sat on the picnic tables at turn one. 'Till a youngster lost it and almost clipped the telephone pole there. I moved to the benches by the food stand and that was just as risky with them flying around that corner. The exhaust fumes were terrible and decided to go back to camp to die of alcohol poisoning. @Achto said he took a few laps on 'Fish's bike and that was enough!
