13 points@Easton Rich If this is the one you’re thinking of then, yes!! I’m very happy the Work Horse is the featured tractor as I am the original owner of this machine.
-
10 pointsWell we all know this year's big show show cases the workhorse model tractors. So here is my gt1100 with a kohler m10. Doing cleaning and maintenance. Snapchat-575498874.mp4

9 pointsJust to add a little bit of Big Show flavor to this thread, this is the B-100 that I built from scrap to have at my first WHCC show in 2010. Fifteen years later, here is the same B-100 today. Tires are a little dusty, and the trees in the background are a little bigger (and so is Bob)

8 pointsI found some 1-3/8” copper ends with 1/4” hole in the center. Pressed a slot in the hole and the same on a small fender washer. Tacked new ring above from a piece of truck dip stick. Below a tack on the washer, then the rubber between. “Had water handy to prevent stinky rubber smoke!”

7 pointsAxle repaired. Outer axle bearings and seals replaced. Regal red and ready for the shelf...just a backup in case the 10-pinion fails in a worker but wanted to get it done while a had the motivation

6 pointsNot much, but it's on all fours. Still gotta finish the rear wheels. The fronts are likely temporary, but the originals are nasty and will take a while. I got tired of it being on the stand and at least it looks like a tractor a little more now. Haven't even started the sheet metal but I set the hood on for grins...

5 pointsI should of just drove up there yesterday too but adding the 45 minutes to the ride was a no go for the wife. Then, she says "Just go" (with big sour puss on her face) so now it would be my fault we didn't go because "I" decided not to go! LOL It was one of those loose loose situations.

5 pointsStill haven't taken the crank to be ground so I fixed another issue: the left front spindle was wallowed out enough to let the wheel wobble a bit, so I welded the hole for the roll pin up and re-drilled it. Surprisingly it all worked out and fit perfectly. Since my front axle was one of my clear coat guinea pigs, I had to strip it back to bare metal and repaint it. The 2 part clear coat is good stuff, but it shrinks more than a weenie in winter. The base coat needs to be properly cured before applying it. Anyway, I used the rustoleum clear over the base and it looks good enough. The spacers on the spindles are just temporary. My original wheels are gonna take a great deal of work before I can use them.

5 pointsCam 2 Reminds me of this old lady who bought a brand new Monte Carlo SS every year from 85-89 where I worked. She would bring a car into the service lane to make her appointment. Then do a burnout when she left. Store owner would come out and say I know what burned rubber smells like but what else do I smell?

4 pointsThey call it “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” — for a reason. The Indianapolis 500 is the world’s most iconic automobile race. Indy cars, as opposed to the stock cars of NASCAR, whiz around the 2.5-mile oval track at speeds exceeding 200 mph for a total of 500 miles. First run in 1911, the race is now held on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway — known to racing fans around the world as the Brickyard. If you go, get there early, bring sunscreen, and get set to witness motorsports history. On the same day the NASCAR Coca Cola 600 will be contested at the Charlote Motor speedway and Kyle Larson will attempt to run the full 1100 miles of racing in one day. Last year’s attempt was unsuccessful due to rain. John Andretti was the first driver to attempt the feat, on May 29, 1994. In 2001, Tony Stewart became the first and only driver to date to complete all 1,100 miles of both races in the same day. Five drivers (Andretti, Robby Gordon on five occasions, Stewart twice, Kurt Busch, and Kyle Larson) have attempted.

4 pointsA very small thing but it's important: my lift lock spring was worn out. I installed a new one with a bit more tension.
-
3 pointsJust got this one. 1965 L-155. Needs some tlc, I cleaned the carb and got it running. It has an external coil conversion, which I like, makes replacement a lot easier. The 4th photo is not mine, is just for reference as I am looking for the air filter that fits in that housing. The parts manual doesnt show an air cleaner, at least the manual I downloaded doesnt.

3 pointsIt still never gets old seeing these old wheelhorse's getting redone. All the shiny paint and new shoes!
-
3 pointsFirestone tri rib tires in excellent shape on nice rims. Included is entire front axle out of my 418 including spindles. Great setup if you want to convert your small front tires machine to large tire. These tires are 200 a pair new. The tie rods are all new as well. 250 firm.
-
3 pointsGot Ole' Rusty back together with new (to me) hydraulic lines. Wouldn't you know, I had the ports switched on the valve! Had to take it 1/2 apart again to make it right. What a PITA!! My bad. I shudda looked at the diagram instead of relying on my (bad) memory! All good now. I can mow the hay field of a yard and get a certain someone off my back.
-
3 pointsIt's just the bulkier sheetmetal. Remove that and they are identical.
-
3 pointsDon't think so. Always thought them to be pretty much the same, just different sheet metal and safety features.
-
3 pointsLooks like the guys have you fixed up. May I suggest you remove the PTO, then run it to confirm the location of the oil leak. Tell us a little about yourself and your Horse

3 pointsMy form of non ethanol last trip was cam 2 race fuel… that price is so much better but does jot smell as good😂
-
2 points@Docwheelhorse and I went to a show that put us about 18 miles from an E-Free station…grabbed a few gallons for myself.
-
2 pointsPicked this up for $50 today, great parts machine and she has the deep/wide rear wheels. Plus matching fronts..plus who knows what else.
-
2 pointsNo fuel?... to test, spray just a little bit of starting fluid directly into the carb, while craking the engine. If it fires, then you have a fuel problem...maybe needle seat valve in the carb....may bad fuel pump...maybe plugged fuel line...maybe fuel shuit ff valve is closed...

2 pointsIt is a big money sport for sure but it is no coinsurance that the best drivers are hired to drive the best machines. A second rate driver wouldn't be capable of winning in a first rate car, but a first rate driver can finish well in a less than ideal car.
-
2 pointsI have been using SAE 40 non-detergent in my 1055 for years without any problems. If this were an Indianapolis 500 race car it probably wouldn't be adequate, but for a garden tractor going less than 5 MPH it is fine.

2 pointsMight be missing this little guy. Part number 1239. Screws into the front of the tranny case and the pin goes in that hole in the shifter ball.
-
2 points“T” bar or a welded-on “back” instead of flat bar will give you the lateral strength for anti-bow. It looks like you have the clearance you need.
-
2 pointsI tinkered a little more today. Got the lift sorted out. Manual lift of course but this will be used to raise a clevis hitch, a tiller, and even a 3-point when needed. I used a 1.5 inch receiver tube only to make a quick connection to change out lift parts. There will NOT be a ball hitch used here. I added another tab on the lift arm bell crank, and a hole in the center console for the link to pass through. It doesn't take much travel to make alot of lift on the far end. And the link clears the shifters easily. Still got some reinforcement to add up here. I'll make up adapters to insert into the rear lift tube for whatever is hanging back there.
