16 pointsHi all, this York rack showed up couple weeks ago, cleaned up and made some repairs, hopefully my 856 will tow it, may have to replace lift cable its sticking a bit.

14 pointsProbably my favorite tractor yet and for nothing more than pulling a cart. I will use it for plowing snow like Ive done with all past tractors. Its a jalopy starting with a L-157 Lawn Ranger with a 753 front axle, front wheels from a Raider 10 and a set of 5 lug pattern rear hubs in order to run the 6-12s. A nice running Magnum 8 tops it off. Its a worker for sure .

8 pointsEverything I got has been modified... I'll stick to the bigger mods: 1. Bronco 14 has a 3 point running on a secondary hydraulic circuit. LEDs all around. 2. 310-8 is now a 14hp v-twin powered with the heavier 1.125 axles on the tranny. Heavy duty rear hitch fabbed up. LEDs here as well. 3. My son's Ranger has a K181 engine, heavy rear hitch, and an 8 speed. 4. My 523-H is a complete mash up of several machines. It has the 23hp Vanguard, a foot control on the hydro, and another fabbed rear hitch. LEDs front and back. And of course Terry made me some custom decals. 5. And my current mod project will have another V-twin, 520 front axle, and a fabbed manual lift with a 3 point. Complete unmolested machines down here are pretty rare, so I tend to just make these machines work how I like. It never hurts to personalize right?

7 pointsThis all started when I got my B-80 in September she wanted one too. Yesterday I bought this little Raider 10 from @bowtieguy and she’s been stoked to paint it deep cherry red with a clear coat. Let’s see where this adventure takes us!!

7 pointsPlant Something Day is a holiday that is celebrated in the United States every year on May 19. It encourages people to take a few minutes to plant something around them. It could be a flower, a tree, or an indoor plant. Any plant that grows would suffice. During the holiday, local businesses like nurseries and landscapers usually host community events to plant in public spaces together. People can plant at home, in schools, in parks, and in other community gardens. The planting initiates help to protect the environment and enhance the beauty of public spaces.

6 pointsI have to say, Kevin. The entertainment, information and "down home" presentation of your videos is priceless. Keep them coming.
-
6 pointsI have a 953 that received the "Row Crop" narrow front end treatment and a three point hitch.

6 pointsCents @WHX?? calls me a "sally" I decided to quit burning my leg on my Suburban and fabbed up a 2nd Air Gap exhaust pipe shield. Works pretty slick keeping the drumstick from getting over done! And Sense I don't want said drumstick ground into Chicken Salad. I fabbed a belt guard out of another tractor guard that made a few trips up and down the East coast!

5 pointsOn Megan’s 310-8 went to change the deck spindle bearings, I had some extra from when I did the 42”, and low and behold this deck has the ¾” bearing not the 17mm bearing, so had to order some new bearings. I was able to blow out the grease holes and pump the spindles full of grease, but it;’s still a little on the noisy side, so it will get new bearings.

5 pointsI cut up firewood to get the tops of the tree out of the field. About 16’ of each trunk was left to skid out of the winter wheat.

5 pointsI've always wondered if it would be worth trying to make a buck or two off of youtube. I didn't see myself doing it. Now I definitely do not see myself doing it.

5 pointsMy pulling tractor "Horse Apples" This tractor is made from many tractors. C-101,Raider 12, 1257, etc. Engine is a "stock'ish" K321 from a Quiet Line Cub Cadet. Tins on it are from the K241 that was removed from the tractor. Hand made F-plate re-enforcement also holds the mid mounted weights. Custom extendable weight bracket on the front will move the weight 2ft out in front of the tractor. Rear fender pan raised 1/2" to make room for the 26x12x12 tires on the back. Brake peddle converted to a gas peddle. Let's not forget the comfy bare aluminum seat. Custom stainless dash that narrowed things down to the bare necessities, toggle switch for ignition, starter button and choke knob. Custom hitch with adjustable height. Wheelie bars to keep the front down to a safe height. A tether switch that is tied to the eliminator. If my tractor should come unhooked the tether will be pulled killing the ignition and fuel pump.

4 pointsToday was organizing tractor parts and puttering around on the house, and on my new to me tractor/parts. First it’s the time of year to put my flag out so I started with that. I then took apart the parts Workhorse, and took the good transmission off. In the process of taking it off I forgot to check to see if there was oil, and that the mount holes went all the way through… I think you know the outcome, but it could have been worse. I then swapped one back tire that was slow leaking. The hub came off the Hydro C-141 too as one wheel bolt was siezed and rounded off. Now I’m relaxing.

4 pointsThis tractor has a special place in my "collection" Bought it at the show in 2018. HHHOOOWWWAAARRRDDD!!! or as I call him "The Pope" was thinning his herd. I think he had like 5 tractors he was selling. He employed the dear late roadapples as his tractor guardian. You know how Howard is, Kabitzin, holding court bouncing from one thing to another. I remember he was having electrical issues with one of them and I think @wallfish was lending him a hand. I wandered over to where Jay was tending flock and here set this little 857. It had a seat that would have been in the top 10 in a nasty seat contest. It looked like one of my Dear Grandmother's pincushions that was dragged over from Italy. Whish I took a pic of it before I changed it. I told Jay "I'm taking this tractor for a ride. and took off. Never even checked to see if it had gas in it. Had a deck that had more holes than metal. Made a couple of laps and found Howard and asked him what he needed for it. At first he didn't even know it was his. But we struck a deal. First thing I had to do was find Bob Ellison as he had some seat covers and he changed it right away! The tractor had the remnants of an old insect fogger exhaust on it It has been my go to utility tractor since. Pulling the wagon, plowing some snow, steam pageant cruiser and mowing on occasion with a better deck. It's getting the spring off. I'm planning on bringing it to the show this year. I haven't touched the paint at all. All the runs, stains chips and dents are all like I bought it. I did paint the back wheels, changed the front wheels and tires. Added a nice WH seat. Had to replace the exhaust and couldn't save the bug fogger piping. This past winter I rebuilt the engine from my 875 and swapped it out as the original was just starting to smoke. The Sunday after the show when I set it in the shop: I believe it was # 5 in Howard's collection of 857's. That's roadapples horse horn installed. Rebuilt engine:

4 pointsLabor of love shall we call it? There are some months (hunting season, followed by tractor show season) that pay better. I have shot deer on film (or even didn’t shoot deer, but got lucky with the algorithm) that have paid me a couple hundred per video. Another bonus, is the tax right offs for my business that can be eligible eventually.
-
4 pointsI don’t know how old your little sis is, but that’s awesome nonetheless! This is a mainly male hobby, and it makes me grin every time my girls hop on for a ride!
-
3 pointsThe hood stand, 3 pc trans, hood with those throttle/choke controls, cast foot pedal. 1961 model 401 That engine may have come with it but it's not original to that particular tractor.
-
3 pointsThat's a nice thing to do for the charity. Your next of kin will appreciate the trees. At my age, that's how it is. I have trees I planted 25+ years ago and now I'm finally starting to see their beauty.
-
3 pointsIt's a 3 piece trans, you can see the rear end in the 5th pick.
-
3 pointsLooks like a 1961 Model 551 Suburban The engine appears to be a Lauson H55D

3 pointsI’d call this a big accomplishment, I hit 2,000 subs on my YouTube channel! Notice the analytics to the channel. That’s 28 days revolving. I put it lots of time and effort, to make $66. It’s like hitting big at the casino or on scratch offs. “I won $500!” But nobody ever tells you the money spent. I can’t tell how many hours of filming and editing go into that sixty six dollar month!

3 pointsDon @Lee1977 was here today and we discussed just that. I'll either add a guide with bearings or double the link up.
-
3 pointsI tinkered a little more today. Got the lift sorted out. Manual lift of course but this will be used to raise a clevis hitch, a tiller, and even a 3-point when needed. I used a 1.5 inch receiver tube only to make a quick connection to change out lift parts. There will NOT be a ball hitch used here. I added another tab on the lift arm bell crank, and a hole in the center console for the link to pass through. It doesn't take much travel to make alot of lift on the far end. And the link clears the shifters easily. Still got some reinforcement to add up here. I'll make up adapters to insert into the rear lift tube for whatever is hanging back there.

2 pointsCouldn’t resist. Had to recreate the iconic Bigfoot monster truck demonstration when they drove a normal monster truck upon the 10’ tall tire truck which I believe was Bigfoot #10

2 pointsHi guys, Can anybody help me identify this tractor? Also any input on this engine would be greatly appreciated. I bought it a few weeks ago and have been looking around but didn't find much info on it. I took the carburator off to clean it but never put it back on. I had it running before but it sounded like it was running rich and it was throwing a lot off soot out of the exhaust. It also had a fuel pump on it that I thought was pushing too much fuel into the carb. so I took it off and ran the engine and it ran like tops so I installed it into the tractor then tried to start it but the the engine wouldn't run at all. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

2 pointsLooks like a good set up, BUT... The problem with Zucchini is you get so many you wind up leaving them in unlocked cars to get rid of them. Just my experience.
-
2 pointsWe live in the forest, trees all around us so planting any more is left to nature. Several years ago I spotted this black walnut seedling emerging from beneath a rock. I suppose a squirrel or other critter hid the nut under the rock and never returned for it. It is now a good size tree providing shade for my woodwork shop. I gave up gardening a few years ago, we have so many deer coming around that I hardly ever harvested anything. Being about 400 feet from the house it was more of a wildlife buffet than a garden.

2 pointsHave you tried adjusting high speed mixture too lean can cause surging Governor initial set and sensitivity
-
2 pointsThe switch on a 312 is in the lower panel attached with only two screws. If it has been left out side the two screws and panel will get rusty making it hard to start with the switch. My 312 always started with the switch but some times it would take three or four tries. With a couple or rusted bolt connecting between the switch and battery ground they can be hard to start. Clean the rust screws and panels if they are rusted.and make sure the key switch has a good ground.

2 pointsSome years we purchase new tree seedlings from the National Arbor Day Society. Gives us a little variety in our yard and comparison to the standard locals that we've had for years.
-
2 pointsPlease don't buy any more parts until we find out what is actually wrong, looking at the ignition switch you have ordered I see that it IS NOT correct for your 312.Not all Wheel Horses are wired alike. You ordered one for a battery ignition system and your 312 has a magneto ignition. The correct switch is shown below. This wiring diagram shows all of the components in the START circuit. Check the level of your engine oil, if it is low a relay will stop the starter from operating. Beginning at the left you should check the 25 amp fuse and fuse holder. Check to see if you have voltage at the B terminal of your ignition swatch. With your PTO disengaged and your clutch pedal depressed when you turn the key there should be 12 volts at the small blue wire on the Solenoid. Do these checks and let us know what you find.

2 pointsPlow faster with 54" plow blade. There is a slight bend to it...used it last three years didn't affect plowing. (Upgraded to 56") $45

2 pointsWe had two days of wicked storms, tornadoes, etc last week. Apparently the few inches or rain in an hour that came down Thursday night softened up a spot in the side yard…
-
2 points@hcminis As I have always heard and said Kids and tractors just go together.
-
2 points@kpinnc: Very nice work on all of those tractors. They look to good to be a working tractors.
-
2 pointsWell, I now own a Speedex! He came to check out the Blazer, for a parts project. It did not pan out, as wood chucks had destroyed the rear harness and it wouldn’t send fuel pressure. We ended up trading for a clapped out triple axle trailer in the weeds. I’m glad to clean out unusable stuff, and he was happy for a new trailer after being a tractor owner for just three days

2 pointsQuick coat of rattle can truck bed spray (why not) on the inside. Blades sharped and installed. Quick scuff and wire wheel of the crappy spots and a shot of primer on the outer shell. 42” RD
