I'm thinking it's got something to do with metric. That's why I get the seat I want and utilize a specialized universal seat base bolt pattern adaptor to make it fit.

The style seat that I have on my Reborn B-80 has long been my favorite. I guess it just fits my scrawny butt good. TSC carries them and often has them in stock. Some 13-14 years ago I put another seat on my 2005 Classic. It was another TSC product and I thought I wanted arm rests and a seat adjuster. I quickly found out I didn't want either and it ended up like this. It's comfortable and has proven its durability but I needed a new seat for the Dino C-121 so I picked up another one of my favorites at the Lafayette TSC yesterday. On the drive back I decided to put it on the 2005 since I'm on that by far the most and that will likely be the case in the foreseeable future. Now you certainly would think with all these options I could match something up. Right? Nope. So out comes the drill and I make my own options. Why drive to Lafayette to get it? First I verified they had one in stock. Second, I was headed to Crawfordville to meet up with one of the members here. @stvski80085 Steve drove over from Missouri and is now the owner of the Wheel Horse tub cart. We had a great conversation and could have gone on and on but a long drive back awaited us. Over 4 hours for him. It was great meeting you Steve.

My neighbor stopped to tell me his Mrs. had some tomato plants ready for me. I noticed this on Barney, the 1800 lb Belgian. He must be the deluxe model, comes with a tool kit. Please remember....this is a family show.

Sometimes there just isn't a better way than what's been done for decades. I had to split a nut that had been tacked in place on a weld-repaired bracket. Time to break out the hammer and chisel like I learned to do 50 years ago

Finally got my spring plow day! A little wet, but had no issues with traction.

Found these weights a a yard sale this morning four of them 50 lbs each I'd like to put them on my GT-14 FEL. How can I attach them? It has inside weights already. They were asking 20 each. I got all four for 50

Since it's a parts tractor that's rusty, cut the rock shaft out of the tower. Get it in a vise and heat / quench it. Might take a couple tries. I watched Taryl's video and have done it a few times and am amazed on how well it works.

Always good to hang out with you guys for the day! There was a really good amount of WH tractors there today too. Think everyone found at least one score. I got the dump truck frame thingy for a fair price.

Uh-oh - Donna is getting upset with me. Good rims & tires (although they are Kendas) and reflectors which I need right off the bat. No engine or hood, but the hydro trans is supposedly good. I'll strip it and scrap what I don't want or can't sell.

So... how'd it handle that massive load? Track ok at speed? Wheel bearings hold up? "First haul on the new trailer " I would have expected 15-20 's... with associated parts etc...

Since that is a mare rather than a stallion my first thought wouldn't work.

About twenty years ago the manager of a local thrift store was convinced the store was haunted. She contacted the "MY GHOST STORT" TV program and was interviewed in preparation for her thirty seconds of fame. She told about things being moved about during the night and things appearing that hadn't been there the day before. A film crew set up cameras throughout the store in hops of capturing a ghost in action. What they captured on film was a homeless woman who had a key for the back door of the store and had been spending evenings there for some time. So much for the store manager becoming a TV star.

Women come and go. Tractors are forever.

I used threaded rod from McMaster-Carr that matched the thread of the hubs to mount my inside weights. Then used truck lug nuts to hold the wheel to the hub You can get any length you need to extend the lugs to mount the weights outside of the wheel.

For years WH used a standard 7 x 7.5 " pattern then in the later 3/4/500eries they came up with something that doesn't seem to fit anything.

The dogs usually take care of them for me. Unfortunately, that comes with it's own set of problems...

Just booked lodging for big show. Stayed same place last year. When traveling now we pretty much stay at an Airbnb. Usually cheaper or at least the same $$ as a hotel. Definitely a lot nicer. It also helps ease the pain of my girlfriend having to look at tractors for 3 days! Lol!! Now I need to get moving on getting some trailer maint done as well as getting tractors ready. Im hoping to bring 4 tractors.

Had another think of the steering - not happy with the small homemade 7 tooth steering sprocket.... Works very well and smooth! I think it will outperform the original in terms of lifetime

.So I seen an ad on CL for what the PO thought was a 1950s Moto-Mower. No photo of it., just said it came with a snowblower. Ad said it also ran but when I called to speak with him he told me it won't start and probably needed a carb cleaning. So after our conversation I told him I wasn't interested. He was asking 300 dollars. Then he asked what I would pay. I told him I didn't want to insult him and we would be to far apart. So then he says he just wants it gone make an offer. So I drove the 45 mins to get it. I'm pretty happy about it. The owner couldn't have been nicer. While I was there he asked if I wanted some 5 lug rims. Not sure of the sizes but one really wide set and one set narrow. After it was loaded he asked if I wanted a six pack of hard cider. He works for the place that makes it Of course I said " sureeeee " . Well he gave me a case. Drinking one now and let me tell ya, strong stuff. So I get the tractor home and off the truck. It is a cool looking little tractor. 8 hp kohler, 4 speed. Has a new battery I start cranking it over nothing. Squirt of SF. Nothing. Check for spark and I notice the plug wire is pretty shady. The coil is mounted on the backside of the grill. So when you open and close the hood the wire bends and stretches. So I push both ends on tight, turn the key......... fired right up. Weeeeeee. It has levers for throttle and choke. Pushing down on the lever for full throttle, pushing it up for idle. So I sit on it, seat is really close to steering wheel. Not a fan of the seat on it, but I get on and put it into what I think is first gear, throttle down to idle and let go of the clutch. Well it lifted the front wheels off the ground and I was off and running ! Going to have to figure out how to straighten the front wheels.one is a little out of wack. Anyways I know it's missing some sheet metal but it's a cool machine. Looking on the internet I find really little about them. From what I seen it's a 1964 - 65. Headlights work. Has a really cool key. Never seen one like it. Steering wheel cap is like brand new. Sometime in it's life it was repainted poorly. Let me know what you guys think. Anyone have one ? Any chances of me finding the missing sheet metal?

Morning, looking at getting a standard 4 bolt boat seat for my 856 Wheelhorse.. would this fit without much modification or drilling? Seller asking $10.00 each for these brown boat seats.. says not new but good condition

Never removed one so I never paid attention to what they were made of. Just a warning about heating cast parts

I mounted center hole barbell weights this way, but I drilled a flat plate to match the hub bolts. Then welded a large nut centered on the plate. Screwed in the correct length all thread and fastened with an acorn nut.

Get another set of GT14 hubs and drill them through. Get longer lug bolt/studs and bolt them on inside out… then get a piece of 1-1/8” solid bar. Make it a weight rack!

Oh she hustles. Babysitting, can returns, house cleaning, and high school to boot. The tires on Black Betty she just paid cash for. Mean Green she just paid cash for. I can’t argue with that. She’s making money and she’s got clean vehicles with full solid frames to keep her safe. Gas money she savors. She accelerates slow, she times out lights when possible, she’s easy on the brakes. All good stuff.

I had a similar experience a few years ago. 38 zillion holes. 2 would line up here. 2 would line up there. 4 would line up nowhere.

I haven't. .. we avoid the humans. The times we've stayed there have all been at a remote camping site. 🏕 We primarily go to walk around and also put some miles on our mountain bikes. And relax.......

I think that traffic can use the 35 foot (17.5 foot from the center) and the pavement lines at the edges mean nothing. Depending on the highway the 35 foot can vary but most PA rural roads are 35.

I think the point is that your driveway apron, as well as the “dirt” roadside, may be on state/county/town property--mine is! All is well until there is a problem that has a cost. I’d consider a visit to the engineer’s office to get a close look at the plot mapping so you’ll know what’s where (if you got a good survey map when you bought, that might, or might not, have enough detail). Where I grew up our family and six neighbors co-owned the access road from the county road (the property was a large, subdivided farm). A lawyer advised the group to carefully survey/plot out the access road and then try to get the town to take it as a gift to avoid having to jointly purchase liability insurance. They did. The town later upgraded the paving and started plowing it in winter!

Seems getting close to being able to host a barn dance. Have a bunch of friends? Know a good square dance caller?

I used almond on my wheels and I prefer it a bit darker. Not really into white wheels. To each his own

Don, I’ve used these steel pipe flanges on the front wheels in the past (hard to see in the grainy pic) double stacked. I’ve also hung those same pipe flanges under the frame up front.

Thanks they were on the Raider 10 I grew up on. Looks like homemade 1" thick plate steel cut with a torch, or plasma cutter. We didn't do that, it came with the tractor when my parents bought it. They are stacked double on both sides.
