I don't know how the DOT is going to feel about you placing rocks in the public right-of-way. Seems to me you are creating a hazard could be a problem if they causes an injury. I know it can be aggravating if drivers stray off the pavement but you could be opening a big can of worms.

In my neck of the woods, the snow plow would have those across the end of your driveway!

IMHO. break loose with the $25 and buy it. For me, it is not worth the time & risk of choosing an incompatible material to have it fail again..... Use that time you would have fiddled with it to do something else productive.... Hobbies are seldom cost effective.... like tractors are.

I started posting questions before I saw this introduction area. So here I am, new member from MN. I have a tired old C100 that I've been using for the last few years, shown here hauling materials away after excavating for an addition. I'm currently in the market for something to keep the C100 company that will take on mowing duties since the C100 is kept busy with pushing and hauling chores and it's hard to justify taking the time to put the deck on.

World Tuna Day is observed on May 2 throughout the coastal zone of the planet. This date was an achievement of fishing communities, scientists, and environmentalists who came together to protect tuna schools around the world and help create a sustainable fishing model. Why is there a World Tuna Day? Well, because tuna is one of the most vigorous and important fish in the seas. It is certainly among the most fascinating when it comes to size, strength, agility, and speed. In addition, it is one of the most important animals for the human economy and nutrition. Tuna species represent 20% of the value of all marine fisheries and more than 8% of all seafood traded globally. Tunas are magnificent wild animals and have been known to mankind for thousands of years. One of the oldest records of the species was made by Aristotle in his work on the classification of animals. These fish can reach up to eight feet in length and weigh over 500 pounds, but don’t think we’re talking about a slow animal. This fish’s powerful body allows it to reach a speed of up to 43 miles per hour!

Our mailbox was quite dilapidated. The door hinge broke, and it was time for an upgrade. Putt Putt was a big helper hauling the post and cement, but I need to remember I have the Wheel Horse dump trailer now! That wheelbarrow full of extras was heavy to tote across the yard to dump in the field!

A while back I picked up a 42” RD deck, but unfortunately it was noisy, so noisy I was afraid of using it so it sat outdoors for a while. Well I decided that it was time for a refresh. I stripped the deck down, gave it a de-rust with a stiff wire brush, used rustoleum for rusty metal primer and gave the shell an update, I ain’t gonna win any painting awards! Then refreshed the spindles with new bearings, found 2 that were bad, but replaced them all. Have to give the shell another coat, finish cleaning up and painting all the small parts, let the paint cure then put it all back together again, then put it to use!

Probably not, There are quite a few iron Wheel Horse tractors in this area. Most are show tractors.

I sometimes get so lost, I don’t know if I’m making progress, making videos, taking pictures, or just fumbling a little bit. No videos on the build of the rest of the exhaust! I guess I just got work done!

Here in Michigan no way MDOT or local road authority would allow... my neighbors just moved theirs after a notice from the city... For good reason... those will launch a car... motorcycle, bicyclist... I have same problem but I'll live with it vs creating a safety issue...

You stop up. We got 🪨 rocks. All the way from "grain of sand" to over 40,000 verified pounds.

Rebuild 3 noisy spindles for a 42” RD. Plan is to sand down the deck, prime and paint, then new gauge wheels and anti-scalp wheels too.

Seen this tractor in my area. With unusual rear tires...are they an Amish aftermarket mod?

In PA I "own" to the center of the road and get to pay property taxes on it. The highway easement is 17.5 feet from the road center. Perhaps they should be paying me for mowing the grass on that area? If I throw grass clippings out on the road that belongs to me I can be fined. I am so confused.

great job -- looks good --- good list of the items you have rehabbed -- i also suggest you check the wear in the deck torsion bar --- likely the "slot" is worn and the bar should be replaced. After all the work i suggest you use new bolts/hardware as well -- all that pretty new paint will look much better with new shiny bolts - if not new then at minimum if bolts are in good shape then use wire wheel etc to "polish" them - look forward to the final photos - -here are a couple photos my deck rehabs - two different 37 sd's, couple of 42s,

This may have been discussed already, but if the first pump failed in one drive, I would make sure all the fuel supply to it is still filtered. It may be wise to just toss another filter in pre-pump

you can drill out the spot welds, then replace the welds with small screws and lock nuts. The way the pulley is stamped, the bearings will help locate the two halves, but you may want to drill an additional locator hole so you can orient the pieces the same way.

It would have fit the C-Series in 1973-74 so yes it will fit the 300-Series A rear discharge would be model 5-0621

The owners of our favorite Oriental restaurant at our Mo location closed it down and moved to Atlanta earlier this year. We were disappointed. The new owners have recently opened an Oeiental restaurant with a similar menu. Last week, we had dinner there, ordering from the kitchen. Tonight we dined there again, this time at the hibachi grill. We are very happy with the service and the food there, making that restaurant still our favorite Oriental place in town.

I have new gauge wheels and anti-scalp on order in addition to a new idler pulley for the deck. Also going to refresh the bearings on the mule drive, I understand they are the same as the spindle bearings, just have to figure out how to replace them. Oh, and can’t forget a fresh set of decals from Terry https://redoyourhorse.com

Today was the first mow of the season. All was good until I almost broke a PTO to deck belt for the 42” RD on the 312. The belt and deck came on the 308 when I bought it so I wasn’t expecting perfect. Then the throttle lever knob on the 312 came off. I epoxied it back on so it’s good. Tis’ the season….

Nothing wrong with having multiple tractors for chore specific duties. Or just having multiple tractors.

For some reason, I have to deal with more wildlife than any of my neighbors. I've relocated seven squirrels this spring--I'd rather not have them up in the engine bay of my pickup or scratching around on the bottom of our camper plus they seem to enjoy taking bites out of my vegetables and fruit. A few days ago I notice something scratching around then parameter of the lattice around my front porch. Digging up flowers and the such. A couple of days ago it finally dug under the lattice. Out came the live trap. Well low and behold this morning a big ole skunk was inside. I relocated it as well. This is the 3rd skunk in five or six years. Unlike the first two, This one was in a bad mood and I can't say it sprayed but surely has left the area smelling. I use the trailer in the event they cause a stink and it paid off this time. I threw the sheet inside my camper on the pickup and have left the tail gate open all afternoon to air out. I ended up throwing my blue jeans and shirt away. Our daughter said "Dad! you smell like skunk" when we dropped by to visit them this evening. All I could do is smile.

I didn't do it as evenly as I would have liked. I had 6 gallons of the stuff... Not cheap. I used a gallon of the 5 gallon bucket, and was sure I was going to use all 6 gallons, so I poured the 1 gallon in to mix it up. And as I was getting towards the last 1/4 of the barn, I realized I was going to have extra, ended up with about a gallon and half extra.. ohh well I can always use it for something haha.

I thought it quite hilarious that my comments on failure were so quickly followed by not being able to speak! I couldn’t edit that out! I do admit, I have a tendency to stutter or slur my words often, on camera and off. Most times, I’ll retake the shot, edit it out, move on. Sometimes in a hurry, I’ll skim and scan the footage and I FORGET to edit out the mistakes!

That diaphragm is not a flat sheet of material, the way it was manufactured it allows for stretching and recoil. Buy the correct part or just clean it up and put it on the shelf as a display piece.

Yesterday we went to a musical show in our local city. Bat outof hell by Jim Steinman. The album came out when I was 12 years old so it has been the soundtrack to me growing up. The show was absolutely amazing, music, dance numbers and lighting were simply fabulous. The lad who played the lead had a voice with such power!

Got this one from 953 nut a few years ago. The York rake people are really nice I called to see if i could get a replacement tine he was very apologetic but they haven;t used that width tine in many years. he asked about serial # it is 548 Then said he had worked there for 30 years and that serial was way before is time....
